An evening in Manali
It was the time of an early morning around 5:00 am, and my cousins shouted my name and tried to wake up me. The worst thing in this entire world for me is to wake up in the morning and now I have to wake at 5:00 pm, “Simply intolerable”. Last week we all three had decided to have a tour because from more than 10 months we did not have any vacations because of this Covid-19 Pandemic. According to me this is not the right time to have a vacation outside from the home and they forced me to have a 3 days trip to Manali and I denied simply, but then they provide me with a ratio of the budget which was 20:40:40 and the 20 one was mine. If anyone has that offer to explore Manali with this much amount then I would like to say “don’t let the opportunity gone” and I convinced by them.
At 6:30 am our cab will come that’s why they tried me to wake up to avoid any delay. Yes, we had booked a cab to reach Manali from Delhi, I know it sounds strange but we didn’t have any option because there were no tickets available for our desired dates, so we choose all the way to have a road trip to Manali. Finally, I waked up and got ready to have fun with my cousins (Mohit and Shubham). The driver was on time and I am still getting ready but after a few minutes we all settled in the cab with our luggage and the ride was on. We all were very excited because it was our first trip to Manali and we all to go there and it’s like dream come true. Delhi was completely working now and people have rarely followed the Pandemic rules like – Social distancing, Wearing Masks and sanitization. I was surprised to saw a view like this in this crucial situation and they all were well educated and City heights Peoples but behaving like fools but sometimes apart we crossed Delhi border and the cab was on “Ring Road”. I noticed that my both the cousins were busy on their mobiles and listing music and updated their social media profile with “#way to manali#cousins times#Coronotime etc……...
I was continuously watched outside and the beautiful view of ring road attracts me a lot. Beautiful Greenland in different types of greens and distance stone, roadside small Dhaba worked as of the ring road. I did not realize and fallen asleep while watching outside and after a long time, around 3:00 pm I waked up and noticed that our cab was stopped at a roadside Dhaba. My both the cousins were listening about the menu from the waiter to have lunch. We ordered the food and have it in our cab and the trip was started again. After a few hours we entered in Himachal Pradesh, we could felt the freshness and beauty of nature. Long curved roads with very thin space and big hills on one side and a very deep ditch on another side. It’s looked very scary but after got the confidence from the driver we all three were relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of hill station. Here we could able to find social distancing because we are rarely found peoples talking in groups and gossiping and I felt that they are more aware according to us and took corona very seriously.
