Chapter Two: A Wild Dream Part Two
Fanya's pov
World: ?
After, me and my brother arrived home from our day out with Brooke. He surprised me with cake and ice cream
when we arrived back (I didn't expect a cake either), which caused me to break out in a fit of giggles. despite my initial protest, I eventually ended up eating a couple of slices with him anyway as we talked. Now we were sprawled out on the sofa trying to choose a movie to watch and laughing hysterically over each other's commentary.
We decided on 10 Things I Hate About You, the most iconic movie ever. As the opening scene started playing, I glanced at my brother who was snuggled against my shoulder, his arm lazily draped across my stomach as he was leaning against me. His long legs were stretched out and were curled to form a ball at my side, which meant that he was lying half on top of me with his head resting on my lap. I smiled softly as I stroked his soft hair, watching the screen intently. I didn't want to wake him up when he needed his sleep and besides, it was still only 9:30 pm.
The movie went on and I finished it but as I was about to get up I felt something weirdly pulling at my mind. I tried closing my eyes, hoping that will make the feeling go away but nothing worked. Before I knew it, my eyelids started to flutter open and then I began drifting off to sleep...
*DreamLand*
As my eye's fluttered open again, I blinked a few times and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I shifted a bit, trying to get comfortable before looking around and realizing I wasn't where I thought I was. I looked down at myself only to see that I was wearing my clothes from yesterday and laying on the ground.
The grass wasn't green though it was black and grey. It was dead, dry and crumbling. The sky was red almost like a blood moon, the dark clouds casting a large shadow upon everything below. In front of me was a forest entrance but the trees were unlike anything I've ever seen they twisted and curled in on themselves, creating shadows in an unnatural manner.
reaching for the stars as branches covered the sky as though begging to touch them. I could hear the wind whipping wildly amongst the tree tops, causing leaves and twigs to rain down on me with great force. My body shook with the strong winds and I began to walk forward but soon found myself walking into another world entirely.
A world of darkness and pain.
I tried to run, but my feet were glued to the ground. I desperately tried struggling to escape but the only thing that appeared behind me in an attempt to grab my arm was a monster; It was a dark mass consisting of pure evil, with eyes so dark that it nearly matched the night sky. I screamed out in agony as he dug its claws into my flesh.
"Leave her alone," A soothing voice yelled out. I immediately turned my attention toward the source of the voice, finding a beautiful women that glowed white like the purest light. Her outfit consisted of a white silky dress.
The fabric flowed gracefully behind her and flowed gently with each step as though she was floating. Her face was pale, and perfectly symmetrical, except for her eyes which appeared to glow like fire. They emitted a fiery orange hue to them as she neared me, and once she reached me she extended her delicate hand out to me, offering assistance. Her voice was sweet like honey as she whispered, "Come with me."
As soon as she touched my hand, we both vanished from our surroundings.
My eyes fluttered open as I realized that I wasn't in the woods anymore. Instead I found myself in a white marble ballroom with sparkling walls, marble pillars, gold trim around the perimeter of the room, a ceiling full of glittering jewels, and a crystal chandelier hanging above me.
It was gorgeous, and absolutely incredible, although I knew very well that the beauty of the palace was nothing compared to the beauty of the woman standing in front of me.
She wore a beautiful silver dress with long sleeves, flowing silk fabric that pooled and swayed in the wind. Her long flowing blonde hair blew lightly around her face and flowed in gentle waves down her back.
Her eyes shined brighter than diamonds and a small smile played on her delicate, rose painted lips. She stood there with a look of wonderment on her face, staring straight at me. I noticed that she too, was beautiful but unlike the beauty of the room, this beauty was powerful.
"Fanya I am glad you were able to join us," she spoke in a melodic voice that seemed almost ethereal yet also powerful. She walked slowly towards me until she was mere inches from me, her movements graceful and ethereal. I looked up at her in awe as her golden locks fell gently across her shoulders and down her back as she approached me.
When she placed her cool delicate hands atop of my cheeks, her smile grew as her brilliant eyes sparkled brightly under the bright moonlight shining through the windows, illuminating her face beautifully, making her seem more beautiful by the second.
She raised her eyes upward, gazing directly at the clear sky. Then, turning her gaze back towards me she lowered herself down so that we were eye level. I watched as she stared intensely into my eyes as if searching for something inside of me. Suddenly, a warm sensation surrounded me and I felt a comforting warmth spreading throughout my entire being.
It was so soothing and calm that I didn't feel afraid in the slightest. I watched in wonder as the glowing light emanating from her palms illuminated the marble floors, walls, ceiling, pillars, and everything else in sight. Her eyes met mine once more, the orbs of her blue irises reflecting the lights surrounding us. This time she was smiling at me with such a gentle, sincere expression that I felt a tingle spread throughout my body. Then she began to whisper
"This is your true home." She continued "This is what my kingdom used to look like before my daughter took over, beautiful and serene now its dark and gloomy
with death and destruction..." Her voice trailed off as she looked away from my face, sadness crossing her features. "The past cannot be changed. And it can never be taken back...no matter how much I try..." she trailed off quietly and sighed.
She closed her eyes briefly, seemingly in deep concentration, before continuing.
"You see, the gods have created a different sort of life. One filled with hope and joy. For they see how the lives of mortals are filled with suffering and darkness." She said sadly.
I stared at her blankly, unable to comprehend what she was saying. I didn't know why she was talking about this. But regardless, I could not bring myself to interrupt her.
"The reason I brought you here Fanya was because you have a destiny. An important one indeed," She opened her eyes and gazed at me with a sad smile.
"Your future is set in stone, no matter how difficult and painful it may be. It's yours and only yours...It is up to you how it ends." She said, placing her hand on top of mine, giving it a squeeze.
"What do you mean?" I asked softly, confused and scared at her revelation.
"You're destined to become one with the gods Fanya. The goddess of love and compassion. The mother of twins. The goddess of light," She smiled.
"The mother of Twins, what do you mean I'm not pregnant?," I gasped, my eyes growing wide as I sat upright.
"You will meet your mates and you will feel an undeniable attraction to them. Once you meet you will be so filled with love you won't know what to do just remember don't take the love that fate has given you for granted. It's a rare and beautiful thing, and it's up to you to cherish it and make it last." She told me sternly, looking me in the eyes
"You cannot change fate, all you can do is move forward." She gave my hand another reassuring squeeze
"Wait but you didn't answer my question how am I the mother of twins when I'm not pregnant?"
"The gods have created a new form of life Fanya. Your children will be born without evil, they will possess pure, unadulterated light and pure energy and they shall live in perfect harmony between human and god. Your sons and daughters will live happily, free from any negative emotions or feelings. Once you meet your mates you will begin to understand the meaning of the mother of twins,"
She paused as she gazed around the ballroom, still holding onto my hand, before speaking once more "All your questions will be answered soon ."
As the information settled I begun to have millions of questions like what's a mate? and what exactly does this whole'mate' s**t entail?
"When a god decides to give a person a soul mate or soul mates, they must choose whether to allow fate a chance to happen, or resist. If they choose to resist then their soul mate is gone forever and they'll always feel incomplete, like a missing part of them has been removed...and they'll have to live life a life devoid of happiness, sorrow, love, hate, anger...just emptiness." She finished explaining before pulling back from my grasp and disappearing from the ballroom leaving me alone once again.
I gasped as electricity went through me and The world faded to black, and I knew that I was no longer in control. But somewhere in the recesses of my mind, a small voice whispered, "Don't give up, Fanya. This wild dream may be your only chance to find the truth."
