Mariah POV
I wake up close to Nick, and the last thing I remember him saying is, "I love you." I'm not sure how I feel about it. Part of me wants to believe him and give in to our feelings, but another part of me is afraid that he will discover his mate and instantly fall in love with her, and then I will get hurt. I peel his hands away from me and go to the bathroom. I enter the bath, fill it, and lay down. I'm getting a headache from having so many thoughts running through my mind. Will I reject my fated mate for him? Will I ever meet my fated mate? What if he's my fated mate? I sigh and close my eyes. So, I guess I'll have to wait another two months to find out; I guess I'll just have to go with the flow till then.
