TARIQ’S P.O.V.

Her body fell into my arms and her shivering state stop. The house was filled with a different scent like it didn’t belong here, but I was going to deal with that later.

“Skylar, take her to the hospital and make sure she’s treated” I put her in the arms of my Beta before following the scent to the forest.

The further I went, the stronger the scent became but out of the blue I couldn’t perceive it anymore which was weird. I immediately headed back to the hospital where there were screams and yelling from a certain room and to my wonderful surprise Kitty was hanging by the damn window.

“Kitty get down!” I growled, making everyone in the room hallway and freeze.

“Why have you brought me here?” she held a dagger out and pointed it at me

I can’t believe my mother wants me to marry this girl? She is anything but a normal wolf. I glared down at her, and she slowly pulled the knife from my face before hopping into the room.

I pinned her against the wall and I could hear the gasp from everyone, and they left leaving both of us in the room, she swallowed gently as my irritation reached its peak.

“Listen to me and listen carefully. I have told you the rules and everything you need to know about the marriage, we will leave this place right now and tomorrow at dawn we will get married, do not try to escape me, or I will ruin you entirely, did you really think you’ll spend your life as a thief and I wouldn’t know?” The shock on her face said it all and I immediately left.

I hated people who were not submissive when you made things easy for them and she better not slack as she followed behind me. I have less patience than people presumed I had.

I got into the car and she immediately followed suit. The ride was silent, but the tension in the air made the driver look back through the rear view mirror multiple times until I glared at him.

We both got into the house and I pulled her upstairs before mother had the chance to grab her, and we got into the room.

“Mother set this marriage up for reasons unknown to me, you are to bear the heir of the throne and our coronation will be held a day after our wedding, do you understand?”

“Yes” I turned away from the bookshelf I was scheming through and saw her sitting on the floor with her legs folded while she picked on her nails, “can I ask for a request?”

“You cannot change the…”

“Can I get a divorce after the baby? I have no use for you after the baby it seems, so can I leave?” curiosity got the best of me as I stared at her completely lost in thought.

I have met women, but not one who wanted to stay away from me so badly. I snapped out of my imagination as I noticed I was staring and met her sad eyes looking at me.

“Yes, you can have a divorce. Who barged into your home last night?” sweat broke out on her face as she played with her fingers more aggressively.

“It was just an old friend and I got into a fight with him, that’s all” she was nervous for a woman who fought tooth and nails to get out of here it was weird to find her nervous

“Very well, follow the guard outside, and he will take you to your room” I pulled my phone out and called Skylar, “did you find anything or anyone?”

“She wasn’t born in this pack. Windmere pack was her home, she was married to Alpha Kieran two years ago, and she suddenly appeared here. Her family cut her off when she was twenty, and her elder brother Asher always assaulted her while she was still there. That’s all I could find”.

“Find that bastard of a brother for me”

“Someone seems already smitten by a certain girl”

“I will puck your eyes out if you don’t get going” I growled at him, and he raised his hands up in surrender

Whoever this girl was, mother had a relationship with her that was much unknown to me and I couldn’t figure that out, but if she was married, why was she all the way here?

You bastard! Of course, it’s to spy on us and everything she had been doing had been nothing but an acc. I rushed out and immediately headed to her room, but she wasn’t here, damn it.

“Search the entire ground, kitty must not leave at any cost and if she does search the entire pack”

“A cat?” the guard looked at me completely confused, and I removed my phone to show him a picture

It was the middle of the night which made it harder for her to be found. I walked to mother's room and heard the sound of giggling, which made me a lot more confused than I already am.

“Listen, Tariq is a very difficult person, but he’ll come around”

“I don’t want to stay longer than four months in this household, I have no business here, I just had to give him a baby, and I’ll be going home”

“Nonsense! You are my daughter-in-law you can’t go anywhere”

“She can, and she will, as a matter of fact, she’s going to be held in the dungeon and no wedding will be held” I stepped inside as the anger took the best of me

“You will marry this young woman! Don’t be ridiculous”

“She is a married woman!” a smirk appeared on her face as my mother looked at her

“took you long enough to figure that out, but my work is already done, how was the tea queen mother?” my eyes snapped to my mother who was going pale and right before my eyes her entire body fell to the back as Kitty pushed her
