Bits of old hay wafted around on a tiny breeze that was making its way out of the loft. She grabbed at the hay while swatting at the little air spirits. “Hey! That’s my bed!” The old barn shifted slightly as she continued to futilely grab at hay and she froze. Maybe the spirits were hinting at something by moving her bed a piece at a time. “Like maybe this isn’t the safest place to stay.” Eka mumbled to herself. She couldn’t read the faded German signs around the property, but the barn seemed abandoned, and there was a town nearby with libraries. She hoped. Besides, not a lot of options with no credit card
