Her Mates Finding Her

1740 Words
An hour later we were finally ready to go. “You think you are good. Or are we going to miss Vang?” “No, I am ready. Vang here we come!” she said excitedly. I drove us in my red Maserati convertible, with black leather interior. She loved it, I shook my head. After handing the keys to the valet we headed to the door. The bouncer instantly let us in after checking us out. He was easily seven foot tall, with dark hair and mixed features I thought islander but not sure. He clearly worked out as every muscle was deeply and seriously defined, as well as the fact you could see his eight pack through his tight as hell t-shirt, and barely fitting jeans. As we walked in, we saw all kinds of people everywhere, real whores, fake ones, two-bit ones, and men of all kinds. Sophia jumped in headfirst and like she always does; I got us some drinks from the bar. After a while we made our way from Vang to Cy, which was useless as there were so many fights going on that we left almost immediately. And made our wonderful way to Claw Walkers. Again, the bouncer was so huge. He clearly could pass for Vang’s bouncer's twin. It was so déjà vu. But we went inside, we were on our twelfth drinks at Claw Walkers, dancing to the music when a growl was so loud that it practically sounded like a roar from a lion or something. Everyone stopped dead in their tracks. The two guys that I was dancing with were yanked away by their throats. It was freaking weird. Like something out of a trashy romance novel. Because I was then surrounded by four tall, chiseled men that were gods among the rest of us. After looking into each of their eyes, I heard them growl through gritted teeth, ‘MATE.’ I just shook my head. “I think that you have the wrong person.” I spoke. “Alpha’s, she doesn’t know what that means.” Sophia said. I could barely see her between two of their arms as they were that close to me. “She wasn’t raised like we were. Please. Let me get a jacket and cover her. And we can go somewhere to talk about this.” she explained. Which angered me. “I’m not going anywhere. I'm a person. I'm not anyone’s property. You can’t tell me what to do.” I told them. Which seemed to anger them equally. One of them smirked at me. And tried to pick me up. I dodged him and slid backwards under the one behind me, before he had the chance to grab me. They turned around and started coming after me. I wasn’t going to be hurt by anyone ever again. And that included these four muscle heads. “Leave. Me. Alone.” I enunciated each word. Which stopped them dead in their tracks and even caused a saddened look to appear on each of their faces. “Sophia, what is going on?” I asked her. “Meet the Quad Alpha Kings Donatello, Renzo, Kyro, and Theo, Alphas of Emerald Royal pack. Aka The High Royal pack. And your mates.” she said. After taking a breath, she continued, “Alpha Kings meet Xena Lynn Mirren.” “What are you wearing, Sophia?” said a man as tall as the Alphas that were staring me down. “What does it matter to you?” “This is my oldest brother, Alexander. Alex meet the future Luna Queen, Xena.” She answered me and introduced us. “Oh... I'm still not sure what that has to do with what it matters to him what you are wearing?” “I’ll explain later.” She said trying to avoid the question. “I’m going home. You coming? Or going with your brother?” “No.” all four of the Alphas said. “No. What? You do not own me. You can NOT control me. I AM going home. Don’t try to stop me.” I warned. I wasn’t joking. I’m no one's property now or ever. “We are the Alpha Kings. And you are our mate...” “And that doesn’t mean a damn thing to me. Now or ever. I'm no one's property. Now leave me ALONE.” I said then walked out. They weren't any happier and even more saddened by my words. Sophia followed. We got in my car and went home; I was confused but hated being distracted while driving so I waited till I was home completely to start asking her questions. “WHAT WAS THAT?” I asked angrily. “Who were they to you? Why does your brother care so much about what you were wearing? What was their deal? I mean really. I'm a person. Not a piece of furniture. What the hell?” I was more than pissed. All this time she did not tell me that she’s a wolf. That I've been living with a wolf. I wanted to just scream; I swore I'd never live with another wolf. “First, they are our Alpha Kings. Second, they are my cousins. Third, my family has a strict dress code for us ladies. And well their deal is that they found their mate. As you were practically naked in front of two hundred other males, at least two-thirds of which are unmated. As well as the fact that you were dancing with two of them. And the hell was that you, well you were very defiant of them. In front of a good number of pack members.” she answered. “You know, what I am just going to bed. In the morning, I am looking for a new place to live. I will not live with someone who thinks it is all right for them to do what they did. Or to lie to me.” “Xena, wait. Please. I am your friend. Please just let us all just explain. And talk to them. I will explain everything you ask. Just do not move anywhere, please.” she begged. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, “Fine, I'll let you explain everything. But I'm not going anywhere near them until I know more.” “Ok. I work with that.” she nodded, and I went off to bed. As I laid there, I realized that I wasn’t going to sleep well, so I hopped in the shower. I ran it as hot as I could get it. I sat on the floor hugging my knees. I wanted that nightmare to end, I guess I am never going to escape it. After the water gone cold, I got out and put some dry warm PJs on. And finally fell asleep. I only woke up the next day a little after 1:30pm, which was later than I’d woken up like that in a long while. Sophia was making something for us to eat, while her brother was making a fresh pot of coffee. “How strong?” he asked. “Six scoops.” I told him. “Yep, definitely their mate.” he said putting in the six scoops of coffee grounds in the filter. I just shook my head and helped Soof out. “Your parents are idiots for restricting what their daughters wear.” I spoke. I hated things like that. I was never given a choice about what I wore growing up and unfortunately sometimes that meant that what I wore was little to nothing. So, making the choice was more important to me than it is for some. “Yeah, it is quite wrong. But they’re our parents, what can you do?” she asked. I just rolled my eyes and kept quiet. As we finished up, I found my living room taken over by the four identical asshats, and a few other people. I now knew why she was making so much food. The other time she’s made that much was when she was headed on a trip home for the weekend. And needed to prove to her parents that she wasn’t eating a bunch of junk. I never understood that, now I know why. “The foods ready.” I spoke. Knowing I said I wasn’t going anywhere near them. And yet here they sat in my house. Instead of causing a scene I decided it was best I just get out of the house. “Thanks.” After getting my black cup of coffee, I went back to my room to change into something better to wear. I heard clattering coming from the table, as I'd left my bedroom door open just a little. I doubted I'd ever know anything they didn’t want me to know. Sophia was just chatting away like nothing was different. She did say that those guys were her cousins. So casual chit chat wasn’t unexpected. I decided I was not going to stick around because I had things I had to do anyway. Once I was dressed, I walked out of my room, grabbed my keys and my purse, then headed for the door. “Where are you going?” one of the quads asked. “It doesn’t concern you.” I told him firmly. “You are our mate. Your whereabouts are our concern.” another said. “I am no one's mate.” This caused them all to growl. I knew what would happen to me if I was to accept this. I am human, mated to four giant male wolves. I swore to myself after Jordan that I had never let another wolf touch me. “I am leaving. You can stay here, but I am no one's mate. No one's property.” “Wha-” they went to say, when Soof spoke up, “I will go with you. We can talk about everything.” “Fine.” She followed me as we drove off in my baby blue mustang, “So when were you going tell me that you’re a wolf?” “I thought you knew this the whole time. But last night’s reaction tells me that I was so wrong. That we have more to talk about that than I thought.” “What would tell you that I knew?”
