“Hold up!  Something is in the road!” Eisen held up a hand and called back to the other riders over his shoulder.  He pulled up his horse and put a hand to his sword hilt as they rounded the bend.  “It’s the bishop’s carriage!”  The duke spurred his horse past Eisen and charged toward the fancy, lop-sided carriage.  A couple of robed priests were shuffling around while a carpenter was taking some measurements.  “There is no fixing this,” the carpenter said, holding up the broken wheel.    “What’s going on here?” The duke demanded harshly.  The priests quickly turned to the duke and bobbed respectfully.  “Good day, your grace.  Our carriage had an accident.”  The priest explained humbly.  “I don’t think it was an accident,” the carpenter ran his fingers over the wood.  “Look at this!  I
