“This is ridiculous,” I blurt, shooting up to my feet like I’ve been burned. “How is that even possible?!”
The room stays silent.
Elian. Nadia. Rhett. Declan. They’re all just looking at me, not saying anything. They're so calm as if they're giving me time to breathe and wrap my head around everything they've told me.
But how the hell am I supposed to breathe when I feel like I’m drowning in everything they've fed me? How can I wrap my head around all that information when my scattered thoughts are still trying to make sense of all this?
