Made for them

After ensuring a large gap between us, I charged at him like a bull seeing red. But instead of hitting him, I slammed into the cold stone walls of the dungeon. The impact jarred my bones, and the chill of the stone seeped through my skin. "How's that possible? How did I miss him? I was supposed to hit him and use him as bait. How am I on the floor?" I managed to question myself, wincing in pain. The metallic tang of blood filled my mouth from where I’d bitten my tongue. "That was a bad move, little one. You should do better next time. Well, there will be no need for you to try doing better because there will be no next time," the king said winking at me as I lay on the cold floor begging the pain I felt to stop. "Seize her," he commanded. "No, this can't be happening. If Kiara warned them about me, it must be because I'm stronger than them. I don't know where that supposed strength is, but I need it now," I said to myself, trying to ignore the pain. But it was impossible as I tried standing up and fell to the ground, clutching my back. The scent of damp earth and mildew assaulted my senses. "You are weaker than I thought," a familiar voice said as he grabbed my elbow and yanked me off the floor, ignoring my pain. His grip was ironclad, and his cold touch sent a shiver down my spine. The agony in my back intensified, and I pushed him with a force I couldn't comprehend I guess it came from the pain I was feeling but it sent him flying to the other side of the wall. The sound of his body hitting the stone was a dull thud, followed by a faint crack. "Hey, you’re Amelia's boyfriend, right?" I asked, taking a proper look at him as my pain had eased a bit. He winced in pain but not for too long as he started walking towards me. The flickering torchlight cast eerie shadows on his face, highlighting his anger. As he approached, the older vampire stepped in front of him, blocking his path. "Let her be," he whispered sternly, his voice barely audible but filled with authority. "That won't be happening," he whispered back, moving around the older vampire. Reaching me, he slapped me hard, causing me to sprawl on the floor, clutching my cheek in pain. The taste of blood intensified in my mouth, and my cheek burned. "Did that hurt?" he mocked. "I'm Josh, and I'm not Amelia's boyfriend. But I'll be her boyfriend any day I feel like it. I’m Max's boyfriend, and you better stay away from my man," he said, his tone laced with irritation. The air between us was charged, thick with tension and the faint, coppery smell of blood. Was that a joke? Despite the pain, I heard every word. "That's not possible. Max can never be gay. I saw the way he looked at me and Kiara. He is not gay," I said, standing up to Josh. Our gazes met, his eyes red with fury. The dim light made his blue eyes appear almost luminescent. The king cleared his throat, easing the tension slightly as we all turned to face him. "I will leave now. As I mentioned earlier, I have a kingship meeting to attend." Turning to the older vampire beside him, he said, "Do not do anything with her until I return. I am keen to know who she is and how reckless her father must have been to birth a thing like this. And Josh, use your mouth, not your fists. We don't want her all battered by the time we return." "Yes, my lord," Josh replied. His voice echoed slightly in the vast dungeon, emphasizing the emptiness and isolation of the space. I stood motionless, rooted to the spot as I watched them leave. The dungeon around me was dark and oppressive, the damp, foreboding walls reminding me I had no hope of escape. The distant drip of water was the only indication of time passing and my desperate need to escape. Gosh, it's been four nights already," My conscience nudged at me. Left alone with Josh, who looked ready to tear me apart, I finally managed to ask, "What happened later at the club?" Trying to ease the tension to see if I could get him to help me escape but the reverse was the case. "You mean after you left with my man?" he said, rolling his eyes. "I thought they trained you humans to be decent." "No, it's not what you think. It was like something beyond me wanted to go with him. I can't explain it. I remember not wanting to go after Bailey insisted on following me. I don't know how you shooed her away and led me to Max," I snapped back, everything becoming clear in my head. He just had a way of pissing me off as the need to please him so that he could help me flooded my mind. "Don't you remember?" I asked, seeing him furrow his brows, looking at me like I'd said something I shouldn't have. "Okay, fine, I remember. But the thought of having you for a steamy night felt good. Nevertheless, having it with Amelia also felt nice, I will give her the credit. The positions were dope, and I hope we try them together soon," he said, winking and staring at me lustfully. His breath was hot against my face, smelling faintly of mint and something more metallic. The thought of a "steamy night" with him made me want to puke. He looked good, like they all did. His piercing blue eyes and perfect physique were mesmerizing, and his smooth, velvety voice could send shivers down anyone's spine. Yet, beneath that flawless exterior was an unsettling sense of danger—a reminder of the predatory nature lurking just below the surface, just like Max. I realized why he looked at me lustfully—I was still in my bra and panties as his eyes settled on my petite boobs and n*****s that were already hard with him just being close. My face flushed with embarrassment. "I doubt it," I muttered under my breath. "What do you doubt, pookie?" he asked, moving closer to me, my body heated up as his body met mine. His cologne, a mix of cedarwood and something dark and smoky, filled my nostrils. "Move away from me," I said with all the resolve I had, though I couldn't deny feeling sparks and butterflies with him close. It felt like I was made for them, as it was the same way I felt when any of them were near. It became difficult to control my breath, his eyes fixated on me like he knew my body responded to him. Gosh, I was already wet. The scent of his cologne and the intoxicating smell of his blood mixed with the musty air of the dungeon, creating a heady and confusing aroma. As he stood close, twirling a strand of my hair, someone yanked him off with great force. As his back hit the wall, the dungeon shook, dust falling from the ceiling. Looking at who stood in front of me, My nostrils picked up the familiar scent. "Max?" was all I managed to whisper before I was pulled into the darkness, unable to tell what was going on.
