His Breakup Checklist

Prologue

I could hear the crowd's loud cheers, but I stayed silent. My colleagues are formally welcoming Altair, our new CEO, so I've retreated to the back corner of the office. Hiding. I blend in with the crowds, hoping that nobody will see me.

How dumb am I to have feelings for him? Worst of all, I confessed to him. I had no idea who he was when I told him I loved him.

I forced a smile. Even though my heart is broken, I truly feel happy for him.
