CHAPTER 18-THE CHAOS

Everyone on the scene that watched them, were also amazed that Koten was so much stronger than Sō-Gogen. Just a moment later, Koten strikes one of the levels from Gogyōdōken-ryū at him with an uppercut. He was already blocked but still he was thrown a meter backward from his earlier position and hit the ground with his sword broken into two pieces. Not only that, he also got internally injured from Koten’s strike. However, Koten still doesn't stop yet and comes again to strike Sō-Gogen as he really wanted to finish Sō-Gogen right now. Everyone on the scene suddenly felt that something was wrong with Koten as if he was possessed by an evil spirit and kept attacking Sō-Gogen with no limit. No one dared to stop him, not even the Unkensō elders as they were afraid to be hurt by Koten as well. Suddenly, the Goryō-Meishu stood up and held off the attack from Koten. A big explosion occurred there as they both were pushed a few steps backward. The Goryō-Meishu was also shocked as he also felt that Koten internal Qi-energy was very strong, even stronger than him and it did not make sense. If he keeps receiving attacks from Koten, he might not be able to stand it until the end. When Koten stood up, he still wanted to attack even the one standing in front of him was the Goryō-Meishu.

Koten: “Don’t stand in my way, you bastard…!!!”

However, suddenly something happens before Koten’s strike. The side-effects of the pills were starting to kick in as he was overdosed. Koten felt his body was very hot as the Qi-energy wanted to burst out from his body. He kept screaming out loud and holding his body as his body was hot everywhere. The Qi-energy from his body suddenly exploding out and an energy aura flowing out around his body. Then Koten loses his consciousness and walks toward the Goryō-Meishu then suddenly when he gets quite close, he dashes forward to the Goryō-Meishu’s direction. His eyes turned to red. Luckily, the Goryō-Meishu still can evade away successfully. However, Koten didn’t just stop from there, he kept attacking again like a beast that marked on his prey. The Goryō-Meishu has evaded and blocked for a few times, but Koten still doesn't know how to give up. Meanwhile Unkensō’s people kept yelling at Koten to tell him to stop but Koten didn't hear anything as if he was possessed by a spirit. He kept attacking the Goryō-Meishu, and Goryō-Meishu knew he couldn't just ignore Koten, he must do something to stop it before it got worse. He strikes his signature blow to Koten’s direction to take him down. Sure, Koten was blown away quite far from his position but he still got on his feet, even though he had already vomited blood like he couldn't feel anything. Then he dashed toward Goryō-Meishu to attack him again, then the Goryō-Meishu also struck back at Koten’s direction. An explosion occurred among them, and they both were forced to blow backward, once again. Not yet back on his feet, Koten suddenly busting out from the explosion thrust toward the Goryō-Meishu. The Goryō-Meishu can only watch when Koten slowly by slowly getting close to him and strike the level six of Mukeifūken-ryū, “Kazamai-Rokuken / Fēngwǔ-Liújiàn (WindDance-SixSwords)”. For the record, Koten has not mastered all the Mugen-Keisho essence yet, and he only reached to level 6 of Mukeifūken-ryū. He thought in a second, that he might die right away as there is nothing that he can do. However, someone appeared and stopped Koten. It's Kōgo. He came out of nowhere to stop Koten’s strike by using the level seven of Mukeifūken-ryū, “SichiKen-SeiOtosu / Qījiàn-Xīngluò (SevenSwords-StarFall)”. He succeeded in neutralizing the attack from Koten and with one strike with his powerful Qi-energy, Koten was blown backward directly. No one in the scene can stop Koten beside Kōgo. He also yells at Koten to wake him up but it's no use either. Then Koten shouts out loud in the air then dash toward Kōgo. Obviously Kōgo can quickly evade away and he has no choice but to strike one of the levels of Mukeifūken-ryū which is level two, “Sōei-Anken / Shuāngyǐng-ànjiàn (TwinShadows-DarkSword)”. Koten definitely has no chance to block or evade it as it was so fast, but before his sword touches Koten, he quickly turns over his sword and uses the palm of his sword to smack on Koten’s chest. With that strike, Koten was obviously blown away with a backward somersaults and vomiting blood but not crucial. Kōgo knew how to control his Qi-energy, whether to kill the opponent or to hurt the opponent only. However, before he touches the ground, Kōgo dash forward with lightning speed and acupressure on several points on Koten’s body. With that acupressure, Koten immediately fell to the ground. Temporarily, he fell unconscious. When Kōgo slowly walked near to Koten as he wanted to see Koten’s condition, suddenly a dozen flying daggers came at Kōgo’s direction. However, Kōgo still can see it coming so he quickly slides backward while keeping fended those daggers away with his sword.
