I pushed back from my desk and rested my head on the chair. It was pounding from the several discoveries I made, and the ones deep within that bothered me. My mind swarmed with so many details, eager to find a finishing point and stop, yet I found it hard to stop.
The phone rang, mercifully relieving me of my torture temporarily. I grabbed it from the desk and placed it in my ear. It was Kevin, who I’d temporarily placed on the case concerning the company's corruption and misuse of funds.
“A good thing you called,” I said into the phone, “because I just found out the exact person who’s been doing all that.”
