Chapter 28 Knox

1432 Words
My little mate was absolutely incredible. I kicked myself over and over again for not waiting for her like she had waited for me. Her passion and need for me was overwhelming, my own desires clouding nearly all of my judgment. It took every ounce of focus to keep Alistair from marking her. By Tuesday morning, Navy and I were both exhausted. We had gotten zero sleep the night before, but I wasn't complaining. We decided to try and get some shut eye before hitting the road. It was about noon by the time we were up and feeling like ourselves again. I threw our bags into the car and helped my mate into the passenger seat. She sighed as she settled in, seeming so much more relaxed then when we arrived. “Navy, can I ask you something?” I said once I was settled in the car. “Mhm?” She hummed, rolling her head on the headrest to look at me. “Will you move in with me?” I asked in a soft voice. Her eyes widened slightly, “Like into your room?” “Yes, into the Alpha quarters.” I nodded. She looked away from me, biting her lip as she thought it over. “You don’t have to if it’s too fast, it’s just we both slept much better together, you said so yourself.” I spoke over the silence, suddenly feeling a lot of anxiety. “Yes.” She replied simply, looking at me again. “Yes?” “Yes, I’ll move in with you.” A small smile was working on her lips. “You will?” I didn’t believe it. “I want to.” She nodded eagerly. “Thank you, baby.” “Knox?” It was her turn to question me as I put the car into drive. “Navy?” “Do you like having me here?” Her question nearly made me wreck the car. “What kind of question is that?” I asked in a voice that was more stern than I meant it to be. She blinked at me but didn’t respond. I sighed, “I’m sorry, my love, I was just taken aback by your question. Of course I like having you here, I mean, honestly, that’s an understatement. I just thought my desire to have you was obvious.” I grabbed her thigh and squeezed it. “I was just wondering if you wanted me to stay, you know, forever?” She refused to look at me. I abruptly stopped the car and put it in park right there in the middle of the road. I turned in my seat to fully look at my mate, grabbing her chin and pulling her eyes to meet mine. “I want you to stay forever, my love. I want you every single day, morning, noon, and night. I want to be with you, I want to talk to you, I want to touch you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you to stay. I never want you to leave. I’ll get down on my knees and beg you to stay if I need to. I submit to you, my Luna, and only you.” I felt my eyes flash as Alistair agreed with my words. He yipped in my head, eager to bow to his Luna. I was shocked when Navy started to cry. Heavy tears dripped from her crystal blue eyes. But, her lips revealed a smile. “Did I upset you?” I whimpered. “No, Knox, you made me fall in love with you.” She replied, pressing her lips to mine once. “That was my goal, baby.” I pulled her back towards me, claiming her lips for a deeper, more passionate kiss. “I don’t want to leave.” That was it, those were the words I was dying to here, “I want to stay.” Scratch that, those were the words. “Please, stay.” I begged against her mouth. “I’ll stay.” She agreed. “I love you so much.” “I love you, too.” I released my grip on her face and sat back in the seat, breathless. “Are you going to drive?” She asked with a giggle. “I don’t think I can.” I shook my head. My head was cloudy, my vision blurry. “I have an idea.” The tone of my mate’s voice caught my interest. I looked at her but she had already moved to straddle my lap. Her hands went to my neck as she started to kiss me hungrily. “Navy?” I gasped once she released me. Her mouth traveled down to my neck and I growled, leaning my head back to give her better access. She fiddled with my belt and I realized what she wanted. I moaned and grabbed the handle that adjusted the seat. I moved it as far back as it would go and grabbed Navy’s butt. I pushed her back so I could remove my belt and undo my zipper. Luckily, she was wearing a dress. I wondered if my little mate had this in mind when she got dressed this morning. I removed her panties as I continued to kiss her body. I pulled her spaghetti strap to the side so I could graze her shoulders. I dipped inside the neckline of her sundress and sucked on her breast, leaving red marks all over them. “Knox!” She complained loudly as I sucked on her neck. “You said I can’t mark you, you said nothing about hickies.” I said, bringing my lips to hers. “Knox.” She moaned again, her voice needy. I finally gave her what we both wanted. After our sexy little moment in the car, we got ourselves back together and I drove the rest of the way to the packhouse. Everyone was staring at us as we exited the car, looking like we were attached at the hip. I went straight to the main hallway in the packhouse and mindlinked the entire pack. I waited 15 minutes to give them all a chance to arrive, and then I shared my news. I couldn’t wait any longer. “Blue Moon, many of you have heard the rumors but I wanted to address you myself. I want to introduce you all to my mate and your future Luna, Navy!” I held my mate proudly in my arms as the pack cheered. Navy and I had discussed this in length during the drive home, and we had decided that we would reveal everything to the pack. She didn’t want to hide and I didn’t want to keep her hidden, either. “Navy is a siren.” Everyone gasped, the room grew heavy with silence, “She comes from the siren’s royal bloodline, she is a princess.” I added, earning more surprised expressions. “Siren’s are real?” The room was buzzing with commentary. I held up my hand, silencing them. “I understand your confusion. I was under the impression that siren’s were a myth as well, just as the humans believe that we are a myth. Everyone has their fairy tales. I’ve seen Navy change with my own eyes, she is who she says she is. She’s a siren and she is my mate, the love of my life. I have accepted her and she will be the next Luna, “I understand that you all may have questions and that this will be an adjustment. Navy has graciously agreed to answer any of your questions and settle your concerns when the time is right. She is still adjusting to the surface realm herself. We ask for patiences and privacy at this time.” I spoke clearly, sternly, but also kindly. “Yes, Alpha!” The room responded. “Thank you, Blue Moon. If you’ll excuse us, my Luna needs her rest after a long weekend.” I waved towards the pack and so did Navy before I led her away from the crowd. We spent the rest of the evening moving her belongings from the Luna quarters to mine so she could officially move in. I was too eager to spend one more minute without my Luna sleeping beside me. She agreed to not only move into my room, but also to stay in the packhouse. She hadn’t officially accepted me, but I would take what I could get.
