“Sir, transmission coming through from the Dragon,” said Eugen.
At last! Aden swung into his chair and hit the button. “Professor Byford?”
“Captain Pendar, my son has convinced me to give you another audience,” said Byford. “Do not expect my answer to change.”
Crap, you are stubborn. “Professor, I will be over soon.”
He rose and scanned the bridge. Vardy was not present. That worked to his advantage. No argument would ensue when the engineer protested his exclusion from this trip. Aden needed Dermott’s undivided attention if he hoped to sway the man to his side.
That will require a subtle touch, Aden thought. “Pavott, you will accompany me.”
