Chapter Twelve
A soft vibration tingled through Aden. He couldn’t pinpoint the source or where he felt the tremor. The sensation crept through his body, winding around every fiber of his being. It begged a response from his confused thoughts, and Aden struggled to awaken.
The pulse altered. Aden thought he could hear it–a deep hum within his body. The sound increased and he detected other noises within the steady buzz. They grew louder, a cascade resonating through his head. Alarmed by the clatter, he attempted to open his eyes.
The movement felt wrong, but images emerged. They swirled in front of him like a giant kaleidoscope. He couldn’t focus on a solitary view. It was too much.
