They entered the solar system as the second message from Hyrath arrived. Aden chose to let Tamsin answer the transmission.
“They demand that we change course and proceed to Hyrath at once,” she said.
Aden adjusted their trajectory to intercept the remaining Hyrathian fleet in the area. “Same reply as before. We’re expediting the completion of our mission. Be sure to sign my name.”
“Yes, sir.”
He eased down on the engines. The energy pounding through his system altered pitch but did not decrease. The Kargrandes knew where they were headed.
“When we’re closer to the fleet, I want you to open a channel,” he said, checking the radar. “Raise one of the battleships.”
