"Didn't you say you knew Emily and that some girl broke your heart in a small town?" Brittany asked hesitantly, her tone probing.
Adrian let out a frustrated laugh.

"Of course not!" Adrian took a deep breath, released her, and stood up. His tall frame towered over her as he spoke with a hint of impatience. "Stop bringing up divorce."
