Daniel paid no attention to Leo's shock. Checking his watch, he adopted a businesslike tone.
"It's getting late, and Ms. Kay has not fully recovered. She shouldn't stay here too long. If Mr. Sharpe has any further questions, he can make an appointment at the law office to discuss them in detail."
Turning to Brittany, his tone softened.
"Ms. Kay, let me take you back to the hospital to rest."
Brittany nodded. She had no desire to keep tangling with Leo.
"Thank you, Mr. Thompson."
Emily made a face at Leo, then took Brittany's arm and followed her out of the café.
