Warm sunshine shone through the open window in the cafe. The cool breeze drifting in, catching strands of my hair, hinted at an early winter. I stared beyond the window, over the vast lake spread before me, water twinkling as sunlight bounced off its surface. A sense of calm washed over me as I brought the hot mug of coffee to my lips, releshing in my surroundings.
The bustling noise of the cafe lulled to a dull buzz around me, my mind wondering while I lazily dragged my gaze back to the table where I sat, laptop and notepad spread before me. I blinked a few times, staring at the items, thoughts lost while I struggled to remember what I had been doing. Why did it seem odd to see a working laptop? And a mug of hot, barista made coffee?
