Alem's Back story

I open my eyes to see her angelic face with a smile pasted on her lips. I couldn't help but feel relieved that she's here with me now. Of all the mortals I've encountered she's the only one who didn't judge me for who I am and loved me.

It has been a year since she first came to my life, I can tell that if she's with me, I still can live this horrible life that they gave me.

Days passed and I was falling deeper than ever, just her smiles make my heart skip a beat. This occurrence was unusual so I asked my other self if this was normal and she said that it wasn't, this only happens once.

''Treasure this while you can'' She said before disappearing.

The day she confessed her love for me I felt something, a warmth, feeling love for the 1st time. I hugged her and kissed her forehead before saying those three words that'll bound us together.

It's been a while when we both felt this happiness in life. And I was starting to enjoy it. But like humans says: happiness is temporary.

After collecting herbs, I went back to our little home. I thought of her waiting for me, sitting by the door like she always does. But instead of her smile, I saw her body laying on the ground, her body was swimming on her own pool of blood. People were surrounding our home with their torches and blade. A man stepped forward holding a knife covered in blood.

''So you are the witch!! And not that w***e. '' She's not a w***e! I can feel my body burn in anger as I stare at this imbecile bastard who stabbed my mate.

All of them launched at me with their weapons. I've never done anything wrong to them. the only thing that I did is to love one of their kind. The hatred that I felt kept on seeping out.

With a snap of a finger, the men who launched at me became headless. My clothes were splattered with their dirty blood. The rest of them screamed in horror, some were enraged because of what I had done. Their anger was nothing compared to my grieving.

'' Answer my question if you want to leave here alive'' I shouted in anger.

All of them shut their mouth immediately. Taking this moment I walked closer to my dearest. Seeing her struggle makes my heart ache. I couldn't bear to see her like this.

''My love, why didn't you ran away?'' I asked, tears streaming down my cheeks as I hold her in my arms.

She shook her head and replied: ''I was waiting for you, even if it cost me my life.''

She knows who I am and she knew what human would do if she gets close to me. I cried as I held her hand. I knew that I couldn't save her. If only I have my ring, if only...

My eyes glowed, showing my rage.

I'm going to kill them all, I promise that.

I was about to teach those imbeciles a lesson when she gripped the end of my clothing.

She shook her head and said: I love you.

Her breathing stopped, soon her grip on me loosened.

She's dead.

At that moment, humanity stole my heart and stole off me. Leaving me as an empty shell, feeling nothing as I trample everyone who blocks my way.
