I can hear the footsteps of the guest's arrival.
Although my wolf is asleep, I can still hear some sounds, not the conversations.
My throbbing pain was increasing as minutes went by. I wanted to shout, to tell that I was being imprisoned but I wouldn't. both due to my incapability of doing so and the soundproofing done to this room.
suddenly I heard the sound of crashing, the clanking of dishes and someone's shouts, most probably my mother's.
the crashing sounds and shouting continued for a few minutes and then suddenly it stopped.
The silence was like the calm before the storm.
suddenly hurried footsteps approached the door of my room. someone was trying to break in.
a man broke the door from the wall, pieces of wood flew towards me and a large piece hit me in the head.
The last thing I saw was a pair of striking golden eyes before it all went dark

As I crossed the Luminara Draven territory, Obsidian, my dragon started to get agitated
what happened, I asked him.
He didn't respond as usual. he is a very aggressive dragon and not very talkative. he dislikes everyone on a good day, it's what he is. Over the years he has started to withdraw, which must be due to not finding his soulmate. I am afraid he might go feral if we don't find him/her soon enough.
He is a little more attentive today due to our inspection of this weyr. he likes bloodbath and domination too much, god saves our mate.
As we reach the house of Drake Helios, I feel Obsidian stomping around in my mind, grumbling under his breath and calling me an i***t. I ignore him and his tantrums.
I do the greeting with Drake Helios and enter the dining hall.
I am suddenly hit with a subtle smell of roses, like rotting roses. it puts me on attention.
"what's this smell" I asked.
"must be a maid, ignore it Your Majesty", she replied sweetly, too sweetly to be true.
I followed the scent to the kitchen, Drake Helios trailing behind me but too afraid to stop me.
I found drops of blood splattered on the floor.
MATE! my dragon shouted inside my head
"whose blood is this" I asked
"it's nothing" she replied. I saw a glint of something in her eyes, something malicious.
"whoever this blood belongs to must be brought here right now" I command.
The force of my command made her get some steps near a locked door before she could compose herself.
"the person is there, isn't it" I said as I approached the room.
before I can reach the door a body slams into me.
"I won't let you get there, over my dead body you are going to reach him" she threatened
I launched her body towards the kitchen shelf, she crashed into it making the pans and bowls crash into the floor.
She jumped from there trying to get my head. before she can reach me I catch her from the air and get her into a headlock.
"May the fire lead you to a peaceful afterlife" I whispered the phrase before snapping her head. her lifeless body fell to the floor with a thump. I looked at the guard standing near the door, he didn't even come to save his Drake. For the first time, obsidian wanted to ignore the bloodshed, to find his mate.
I approached the door and looked at the lock.
"where is the key" I asked the guard.
"Your Majesty, only Drake Helios knows where it is kept and well... she isn't able to talk now" the guard replied.
'what a way to meet our mate,' by breaking a door! said Obsidian.
'We have blood on us and have just killed a person. Breaking a door should be the least of our concerns whilst meeting our mate Obsidian. So stop with your antics.' I said to Obsidian.

I used my dragon strength to break the door, which I guess I shouldn't have done because the wood broke into pieces and flew inside, and unfortunately hit my mate on the head. before I could even get to him, he fell unconscious.
my eyes racked over his unconscious body filled with bruises, Obsidian started to pace angrily into my mind.
"Who did this to him," I asked the guard
"Drake Helios" he replied.
I controlled my anger, for now, first, my mate needed medical assistance.
"call the nearby medic," I said to the guard and picked up my mate to get him to a comfortable place.
