                                                                            Catherine I walk as steadily as I can down the hallway and out into the night air.  The air burns my face and I try to maintain my composure until I am out of sight of the brothel and what I have just done.  Mounting Galway, I hold tightly to the money and place it in my knapsack on my saddle and begin riding as quickly as Galway can carry me back towards Moher.  Tears begin streaming down my face and I know that everything has changed; I can never go back from this.  I am dirty and I am a sinner, but I do not regret doing what I did tonight because I now have enough money to buy seeds, and other supplies to take care of my sister and her baby until next winter.  We have made it through another winter in this war
