Todd
Todd didn't know what to do. His uncle was unconscious, attacked by a gorilla of all things, and Maude Clare was behind a wall of thorns. He'd heard her scream. She was clearly in danger.
“Uncle Manny,” Todd said, shaking his uncle, trying to shake him. As a solid, Uncle Manuel was strong and heavy, no match for a gorilla goblin, though. What if that thing came back? Todd stared up and up the wall of thorns. He couldn't see the creature anywhere but high above there seemed to be a break in the thorns. Could it be a passage to the other side? Is that where the gorilla had gone? Maude Clare was all alone over there, but he had no way of getting to her.
