Mara’s chest heaved, every breath shallow and fast, but it had nothing to do with needing oxygen and everything to do with the fire roaring through her veins. Thoughts of anything rational had scattered the second his mouth claimed hers. Ky wasn’t just a man she wanted he felt like the man she’d been waiting for without realizing it. Her palms skimmed down his sides, bold and greedy, until one hand brushed over the hard ridge straining his jeans. A guttural sound rolled out of him, vibrating against her lips, and the raw hunger in it made her knees weak.
