ALICE I coughed. Trying to dispel the poisonous air I inhaled. I clawed on my chest. Digging my nails to my bare skin. Sparks of stinging pain rushed to my brain. Sharp knives slice my skin. Terror clots my veins. I’m badly shaking. Out of dread and trepidation.  Flashes of images crossed my mind. The cold foreign grip of black smoke is scorching my skin. I inhale so fast my lungs can’t keep up in filtering sulfur from the air. Sharp spikes invade my brain. Tearing down my skull, digging out my brain. Looking for something.  Trying to take something. I can’t fight it. My mind is on the brink of breakdown. My eyelids are fluttering fast, my body shaking uncontrollably. This is t*****e. They’re trying to drive me insane.
