PROLOGUE

Some promises are made in an instant, yet last a lifetime.

When Salomi was a child, a boy her age handed her a handkerchief after a sudden nosebleed. It was a simple act of kindness—one that quietly stayed with her long after the moment had passed. From then on, she carried a promise in her heart: to find him again.
