Destined with you

Chapter 3

POV: Nathan

Sitting in my office,i recalled the events of the last two days,i was supposed to have a meeting with Mr Rogers today but the damn man just had to change his plans all of a sudden and decided to hold it on a Saturday without prior notice and expecting me to just fly to New York immediately on a Saturday morning,he thought this was going to hold me back from getting my hands on his company.

Mr Rogers company has been deteriorating for years now and he decided to sell just in time when i was looking to get into architecture because that shii has become lucrative over years. The old man wasn't just going to sell it to anyone he had wanted to sell it to someone he thinks could bring back the company to it's glory days and there was a hell lot of people interested in this and i would be hellbent if i allow anyone else get their hands on it so that's why i had no choice to cancel plans and fly all the way to goddamn New York where the old man and his wife were touring.

On getting to New York City,i went straight to Mandarin Oriental resorts where the old man and his wife was staying and i was directed to a private room where the old man was already waiting, it's good to see you Mr Asher i thought you wouldn't make it but you always prove me wrong he said laughing and i had to force a smile as i replied him, once i set my mind on something Mr Rogers it's difficult to get mind off it so here i am and i went ahead to sit comfortably. So we went ahead to discuss the takeover process of the company and decided on a date to sign the contract and the company would be mine and the damn old man made it 6 months from now, Mr Rogers don't you think half a year is too long before signing a contract and he replied saying it's doesn't have to be exactly 6 months Mr Asher and besides i was expecting you to ask why i pulled the meeting forward all of a sudden without prior notice but you didn't anyways i owe you that so here it is,i didn't just plan to sell my company because it has been facing setbacks over the years instead i decided to sell it to remove the burden on me and passing it over to someone younger than myself with new ideas to run it and bring it over to it's past glory and that person is you Mr Asher among all the other people trying to get their hands on my company no one else has the zeal you have, besides the reason why i asked to see you today was because I'm leaving the country tomorrow morning cause i have decided to go on countless vacations and trips with my wife so it won't be fair disappearing on you without a meeting and like said we would sign the contract 6 months from now and that's when i get back from my vacations ,it was nice having you Mr Asher i have to run along now my wife must be waiting for me he said grinning and i stood up and shook his hands before he stepped out the door. Already frustrated i decided to fly back to California that same day even though the private jet has to be serviced.

On getting to the airport i called my old friend and told him i have to fly back to California this minute and he said he doesn't think it would be possible cause there was already a flight scheduled for that evening except i joined the flight and i declined telling him i couldn't just wait till evening that i have to be on my way now and he said to give him a minute which i agreed to and after some time he called back and told me i could fly now and i asked about the Passengers that were supposed to fly that evening he said they would fly as early as possible the following morning. On my way to board the plane i was still thinking about my meeting with Mr Rogers that i didn't know when i bumped into a young lady or when she bumped into me and i had to hold her before she fell on her face and immediately i looked down to see her face clearly i got lost in her almond eyes, her facial features are exquisite and mesmerizing, she was breathtaking that i would have been standing there if my assistant hadn't cleared his throat and which in turn brought me back to my senses and she immediately apologized but i was already too embarrassed to acknowledge it so i walked away without a word in order not to give my assistant the impression that i was rattled or anything . Just as i was thinking about him he barged into my office and i immediately looked up pissed and he started speaking immediately,sir it's already past eight and I'm about to clock out,i just nodded my head and he left immediately.when he left i stood up and walked to the window peering down at the busy street below it was already dark and i walked to the suit rack and put on my suit jacket turning my system off and picking up my car keys and headed out of the office , getting to the elevator everywhere was silent everyone had clocked out for the day.

Stepping out of the elevator i walked towards my car unlocking it and stepping into the car putting the car on reverse and i drove out of the company deciding to stop at a restaurant to get something to eat before heading home.
