She works at the corner store

While driving towards the house where the party is, Hannah has been looking blankly straight to the road. She's still thinking about how Keith manages to ignore a beauty like her. She's really upset of what had happened. She's been steering the wheellike a madman. Her car looks like the one being drunk, wobbly and tired.

As soon as Hannah's getting near to the party, she's talking to herself as if been reprimanding her stupid actions towards Keith.

"What am I even thinking about him?" she sighs deeply.

"He is cold and plain and feels like he doesn't have a s*x life."

So Hannah slaps her face with her two hands and shrugs off the taught of that certain man. As she parks through the front yard of the house where the party is, she's back with her former sassy and bad ass self. She decided not to dwell of what had happened and to focus on tonight's event. She took off her car and straightens her clothes as she walks up the stairs towards the house where the party is at.

It's already six in the afternoon and the party has just getting started. It's been a tradition for the Rossfield students to have a party every weekends. Every student is capable of throwing one because well, that's how Rossfield works. Every neighborhood was to be in socialization as every household is part of an economic powerhouse so having a party is not a big deal for them. Every family also wants their children to be part of the Rossfield social circle so they let their highchool children having fun in weekends. The one throwing a party was Jacob Saunders. His house or more like a villa lies at the downtown Rossfield, it's location was South from the place where Hannah and Keith stopped. An intersection crossing paths towards the North and South boundaries. Just straight from that southern road and three blocks then turn right. Their place was slightly elevated so there was a brick stairs before their house.

Hannah turns on her phone and checked at the time. She sighs heavily and continues to walk. There are many students making out just as she walks up the stairs. Same s*x and straight couples having the time of their lives smooching and flirting at the steps. As soon as she arrived at the main point of the house she still walks calm as she tries to eye the people which made her feel that they're really enjoying the party than her. There is a big pool that covers the whole front yard of the house, the middle of the pool has a cemented pathway to cross towards the house. People jumping around, drinking and making out. Pop music blasts all the way from inside the house. Hannah tries to wade in a crowd from the pathway to get inside the house. As soon as she walks cross the cemented pathway. People was getting wary of her. They stopped at what they're doing the moment Hannah walks pass them and eventually resumes of what they're doing the moment she's faraway from their sight. She walked down a couple of stairs before she landed at a plain cobblestones leading the house. She crossed the large pool and was aware of the situation. She looked back at the big crowd behind her and puts a smile on her face. Sounds still banging in and she could barely hear the people's chattering as she approached the main door. Then suddenly two familiar voices closing in behind her.

"Hey, Queen, why are you alone?".

"Where's our cousin?".

Roy and Ian running towards Hannah. They're a little bit wet cause they are coming from the pool.

"Don't call me queen easily guys, seriously I'm not the queen".

"But you are now". Roy replies with a lot of enthusiasm.

"After all the fuss between Tina. The people already turned their attention into you since Jacob has included you in his radar."

"And then since Jacob was the king of second years and he is interested to you then you have a potential to be the queen." Added Ian which was still holding a cup full of beer in both of his hands.

"I don't think about that guys, I know Jacob is hot and all but it's impossible for me to compete with that many girls that are after him". Hannah replied with a little bit of humbleness between her voice and her face.

Roy and Ian agreed to her.

"We know that, but guess you're on the radar of many queen categories at our annual student awards. Just to make sure that you'll gonna gonna go home full of awards so we have your back". Roy and Ian agreed to each other.

"Thank you so much for the support guys" Hannah answered.

"But speaking of which, where's our cousin. Did you not picked him up?".

"I picked him up, but he refused to go in the party with me".

"What?".

"So he told me to just drop him off the north-south intersection and he walked away. He said that he is just gonna come here alone so I gave him the location. Is he just that uncool and boring?" Hannah answered briefly and furiously while the way she talked becomes more obvious to the brothers that there's something happened between them.

Meanwhile, Keith was on the verge of another escape planning on his mind. The girl he just met wants to compensate him by giving that energy drink for free. He refuses the generous offer but Tina kept on pushing it.

"It's okay, I'll just buy this drink and make it double".

"No way you're gonna do that". Tina insisted.

"I'll just buy the whole fridge."

"No way you're still gonna do that". Tina jokingly replied.

" Haha you got me, so thanks for the free drink". Keith quickly grabbed the drink from Tina's hand as he tried to turn back quickly and storm out from the store but she grabbed his arms quickly and stopped Keith from running away from her.

"So what now?". Keith faced Tina again acting like he is tired of giving a sensible conversation.

"Wait, um ..where will you going after this?". Keith looked at Tina like what was it have to do with her then he remembered that he had to go to the party where his cousins at.

Keith was hesitant to answer Tina's question as he just looked her in the eye with nervousness and as if he is about to answer a serious math problem.

"I'mma go to a house party at the southern roads I guess and since I'm new here I'm gonna walk to this location so that I know the place better". Keith explains while looking at his phone and to the location that Hannah gave her.

"So you're going to Jacob Saunders' house?". Tina asked Keith as if she knows many things about that place.

Keith, still being new of this place doesn't know who is she talking about so he just nodded.

"Well, I guess that's the place". Keith smiled fakely and then tries to walk as fast as he can.

"Guess I gotta go now". Keith waves into Tina and started to walk as fast as he can while he tries to avoid her gazes.

Then suddenly.

"Wait!!".

Tina called him again and Keith rolled his eyes then turns his head to her.

"What'sss the problem?". Keith intentionally prolonging the s to make him sound like he is bored and he just wants to go out the store. He tries to look straight into Tina to make her feel that he is serious of getting bummed at her.

"I'm gonna cut my shift shortly tonight and I'm gonna be out at eight, the party is still on until two in the morning". Tina just looked at Keith like she was waiting for a favorable answer.

Keith unable to process what just Tina said also just stared to her with his puzzled face.

Then he suddenly snapped and tries to recall what she said.

"What?, so what do you want to happen?". Keith asking her as if he was driving her into a corner and make her realize that she was just bothering him.

Then Tina's face brightens more and then suddenly grabbed Keith's hands and she pulled him all the way up to the store's front part and into its benches.

Keith still puzzled of why he is being dragged and he started to ask her.

"What's the meaning of this?". Keith did his best De Niro James Bond impression to actually sound cool and collected and making the women near him more cautious of approaching him just like the movies.

"So what are you trying to do?".

Tina was not affected of Keith and what he is gonna think about her decided to calm the air between them. She let Keith sit down to the bench that was close to the store's entrance and decided to talk.

Keith was waiting for Tina to answer him just like waiting for his dog to finally talk and shout "master" to him.

Tina was standing in front of him and all the passers-by outside and the customers were glancing towards them. Keith could barely hear the customers whispers and he already knows that they are talking about them. Mostly the one's murmuring and whispering were obviously highschool students that Keith already recognized them based on their looks and the ones they bought that are clearly foods and beverages. Some students tries to glance shortly and look away from both of them as they go to the exit. While Keith was facing Tina and waiting for her to know what's up.

Then finally, Tina started to talk as she steps forward into Keith, closing an inch to him while he tries to look up to her because her head is too high which Keith didn't bother to stand up in order to be in level with her.

"Just wait for me until 8, then we will go to that party together". Tina gently spoke while stooping a little down into Keith's ears.

Keith already had this in his mind that this is gonna be up to no good. He tries to come up into many alibis in his thoughts in a split second and then he tries to ditch this one which is his final resort and maybe a good one to really reject her intentions so that he can get away. He leans his head further into her head as he tries to execute to Tina his final resort.

"Sorry, I'm just gonna go first. I don't want to affect your job by clinging to me so I just gonna head out and maybe we will see each other at the party. Just finish your shift or maybe cut it by 12 midnight. I don't know it's just that you don't want to waste your time on me. Don't waste your opportunity to have a money. I know you're doing this part-time to have an extra income and it's a good way . Don't waste your time on a party if you have a decent and a very honest job that can make you satisfy your life. So maybe you just have to finish your shift. Don't waste your time on cutting your shift for me. I don't want to be the main reason why your life is gonna be miserable from now on so dont lose your job."

Keith manages to hold that breath in for a little longer as he sighed deeply and looked into Tina with such empathy. This is his often used technique if he is pushed in a very dire situation just like this one. He is very confident of his speech that he knows that Tina was gonna get that and eventually do the right thing as she moves away from him further and further until she is already half a meter away from him.

Keith surely thought that the plan worked as he grins but stopped immediately when Tina started to chuckle in front of him and eventually bursts a laugh holding her stomach and looking at Keith as if she is playing him the whole time.

"HAHAHA!, Oh my god!"

Keith dumbfounded and tries to ask Tina what's the matter.

"What?..What the...?".

He surely thought that he nailed it right into the core but the more Tina laughed the more he is embarrassed.

She continues to laugh while forcing her self to stop laughing as she walks towards Keith again but this time around she sobered her self up and returns to being serious. She is back with her calm self as she tries to talk infront of Keith.

"So, maybe it's true that you're new here. More reason to accompany you". Tina talked straight to him while chuckling a little bit.

"I guess I haven't fully introduced myself to you". Tina said while she finally sat down at the bench next to where Keith was then continued to talk while smiling a little brighter towards him.

"I'm Tina Meyers, Daughter of Alfred Meyers, the franchise owner of the entire Rossfield and other state's convenience stores and I'm the manager here."
