I didn't sleep well last night. I am feeling a mixture of emotions. I don't know how to describe it. I usually am preoccupied with my thoughts running in mind that I usually don't acknowledge my emotions and understand what they mean so I am new to what I am experiencing now. I couldn't count myself scared about what the fortune-teller told me. I am someone who believes in physical evidence, a proof first before jumping into conclusion, before believing that there is truth to the claims. Although Superno is a supernatural populace but for us sciscitators we have our intuition to guide us every time but we heavily rely on logic, analysis, practicality, on our intelligence overall when we solve our cases. We follow a systematic approach almost scientific in handling our quest. But I do admit I am intrigued, partially excited and a bit worried, such that whenever the fortune-teller's voice plays in my head and I think deeply about what she has said I feel goosebumps all over my body, it's kind of eerie but I am willing myself and trying to convince me that maybe it's just a coincidence.

I am currently on videocall with my teacher. I go to a private school back in America but the wonderful thing about my program is I am allowed to travel and not attend face-to-face classes every time as long as I am able to follow up with my lessons, meet the requirements, pass the examinations and be at school when I am required to, it's like an open university but high school version. My school focuses on having hands on experience with what life has to offer so how I go about my life, me traveling with my parents, exposing myself to different cultures and witnessing and appreciating history firsthand-my mom being an archeologist I am considered to be an ideal student for my school. And I like it because it makes me feel responsible and it gives me flexibility. I do have plenty of free time to do my passion, especially honing my skill to become a sciscitator just like mom. Of course, the school has zero idea of our true identity as sciscitators.

The sciscitator's intuition, cleverness and ultra-intelligence is passed on from mother to daughter, and only females become sciscitators, as what humans claim, nothing beats a woman's instinct and intuition. If I have been a male the sciscitator bloodline will stop on my mother and me as her son, will have no idea of what she is or have any knowledge about anything related to Superno.

Since I feel like I am not like my usual self, I am feeling weirded out, feeling like I have some strange illness, I think that it's like a version of supernatural brain fog and flu rolled into one. I decided to do some running.

I love to run. It makes me feel relaxed and at the same time I feel in control and powerful, especially when I am able to beat my record. And I like the health benefits of it, it keeps me on my tip-top condition not just my body but even my brain.many studies have confirmed that running which is an aerobic activity releases endorphins and helps memory and cognition. And since I love to run in nature it is especially effective as a recent study found it to produce brain activity similar to the brain activity that occurs during meditation. Sciscitators can run pretty fast, much quicker than the average human. But we are the most human or closest to being human among the creatures of Superno. Carnifexes are more superior than us and they can easily outrun the best human athletes and are generally pretty strong. But they do train a lot, they concentrate so much in perfecting their combat skills so that they will be able to defeat flagitors. Flagitors are normally strong because of the dark and forbidden magic that courses on them and since they absorb or suck life force from their victims their power is magnified.

I am pretty much faster and stronger than the average sciscitators. But back at school I don't show my skills and capabilities fully. Sure I am the top student in my class academically speaking but I don't use my true faculties or else humans would find me intriguing, that I would draw attention to myself. We want to keep a low profile and appear like we are just as normal as everyone is. And we see to it that the humans believe that any supernatural creature or event are just products of the imagination and superstitions.

And what I love about running is it gives me time to allow my mind to wander. I am someone who thinks about various topics at the same time. In short, I just love to think and ponder. The region around Albenga is very beautiful to explore with villages are picture-perfect and there are numerous castles and fortified villages which date back to the medieval times.The surrounding plain since the ancient times planted with pastures, crops and vineyards. Gardens and orchards near the villages are also found. Until the present day, the plain is rich in fruit crops and vegetables. I do wonder about how I am going to live my life next year and where our project will take us. I hope somewhere as picturesque as this place.

I was so ingrained in my thoughts that I haven't noticed that the sky has turned gray and after some time a few drops of rain has started to fall down. I then decided to return to the camp. I can already see the entrance of our camp when I felt like I was being followed. I then stopped and turned around but there was one behind me. I can feel as if someone is staring at me,hiding somewhere but all I can see is the dense trees around. I hurried back without pausing again but I still have the feeling that I am being watched.
