Chapter 1 In the woods of Satinwoods forests where a thick fog opens up like a veil to all magical creatures apart from this tribe, Bows hops has fast as he could, ears flopping back, with his rider on top Jess, her long white hair blows straight back, and she raises her arms and flutters her rainbow wings in delight as Bows lands on the Hollow front porch. Her mother Edith and younger sister Rain were by the garden manifesting light balls and lifting them to the air, their dress flowing in the wind as Rain giggles in excitement as her first full ball of gold light form “That’s beautiful darling, now lift it up in a blessing and send it to the trees above. Good girl!” “I did it Mum ! My colors in my wings are getting brighter, I can feel it!” “ You are a true natural Rain, the veil has blessed you.” Edith kissed Rain on the forehead, and they collected more flowers before heading in to see Jess. Rain ran towards the bright blue door and burst in fluttering her wings showing off her new color which were about a third of the of now. “ Hi Jess, what did you and Bows do today more training?” “ Yes actually, as you can see!” She turned her back to Rain and showed her wings open and flat to show her new scars Rainbow now shimmering and glowing around the edges like an iridescent flashing, swirling, depending on her mood. “ Jess!!!! You completed !!!!” She ran over to Jess and about knocked her over “ I'm so proud of you! Have you been assigned anything yet? “ “No Mom, not yet. They said something about my wings, I couldn’t hear the council over all the excitement, I don’t get it,” “ Jess you always knew you were different. I mean look at your wings, there a light show! You were named after our founder. Why does it surprise you that you meant for something greater? Jess looked down, and then out the small kitchen window. Rain sat still practicing her light magic. Rubbing her right leg with her left foot, dust sprinkling from her feet as little mice gathered her dust. Mum you know training has always been important to me, I’ve done every test, trial, crystal reading. I want bows and I to be normal.’ Jess you are normal, we don’t even know what it means yet. Go tend to Bow before he eats the garden again. Jess walked out to the stables to tend to bow and the air filled senses with hay, herbs and flowers. her favorite time of year and also a reminder of so much, her father passing into the stars, her wing ceremony now, and now this bid secret every seems to be keeping since my final exam. I of course head whisper bubbles, but who knows, I don't care. Jess opened Bows stable to find she wasn't alone. Its was her little sister Rainbow. "Holy Crystals little Fairy your light magic is getting better than mine!" Rainbow fluttered around upside down in circles above Jesse's head in complete pure bliss as hep perfect curls bounced and spun like springs. " So did you come to help?" "Yes! I love my bows, I think Mums going to let me race this year." " If you put a spell on her and you live it in her dreams." “That’s not possible for a bitty like me Jessie, why do you tease me like that? You know all I wan is to be a warrior like you.” “ A warrior?” “Yeah , Did Mum tell you let? The post came today.” Rainbow got a smirk on her face because it was just her and her Bows just the way she liked it, Bow rolled his eyes as Rain tugged on his ear listening to her stories of her day. Jess rain across the felid and flew into the burst through the door window. "Mum" She was hovering over a fire stirring a Calderon filled to the brim with a soup for dinner, cut vegetables all over the counter tops and fresh meat. it smelled heavenly. "Jess, for The love of Herra would you stop flying through like that, you will wake the forever beast. Supper is about done, id the barn closed up for the night and where's your sis? "Mum!" "What Jess?" "Did something come in the post for me?" "Let's eat and will talk love, it might be more than you might be expecting."
