It felt like my heart stopped when I heard him say those words. I struggled to breathe as I tried to calm myself, but it was impossible as my nerves were getting the better of me. My hands were shaking and my breathing quickened. I turned to Edon, hoping I could get some kind of encouragement from him, but he was even more shaken up than I am right now.
I quickly turned to Alaric, knowing that he was the brave one, but the look on his face didn't show bravery, even though he was fighting so hard, trying to conceal the fear clearly written on his face.
