A LOVE DURING PANDEMIC

Chapter 4: The Distance between Us

Mika and gab continued their virtual coffee breaks, but now there was an added layer of tension between them. they had both confessed their feelings for each other, but they still couldn't be together. gab lived in another city, and travel restriction made it impossible for them to see each other in person.

Despite the distance between them, Mika and gab continued to talk everyday, texting each other throughout the day and setting up video chats whenever they could. they talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and insecurities, and everything in between. Mika felt like she was getting to know gab on a deeper level, and the more she learned about him, the more she liked him.

but as the weeks went by, Mika began to feel restless. she missed the feeling of being close to gab, of holding his hand and feeling his warm breath on her cheek. she longed to be with him in person, to hug him and kiss him and feel his arms around her.

One day, as they were talking on video chat, Mika couldn't help but blurt out her feelings.

"I miss you gab" she said, her voice catching in her throat. "I wish we could be together"

Gab eyes softened " I miss you too, Mika. more than you know. "

Mika felt a flutter in her chest. " do you think we'll ever be able to be together?",

Gab hesitated for a moment before answering. " I don't know Mika. this pandemic has made everything so complicated.but I do know one thing, I want to be with you, more than anything else in the world."

Mika felt surge of emotion. She wanted to be with gab too, more than anything else in the world. but how could they make it work? how could they bridge the distance between them?

As the weeks turned into months, Mika and gab continued to talk and dream about their future together. They talked about the first time they would see each other in person, and all the things they wanted to do together once they were finally reunited. they talked about the challenges they would face, but they also talked about the strength of their love, and how they believe that together, they could overcome anything.

Mika knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy. but as long as she had gab by her side, she. felt like anything was possible.
