Chapter 3: Unexpected Confessions

Mika and Gab continued to have virtual coffee breaks every few days, and each time, Mika felt her connection with him growing stronger. They talked about everything from their favorite books to their worst quarantine haircuts, and Mika found herself looking forward to their conversation more than anything else in her day.

One day, while they were chatting, Gab suddenly looked nervous.

"Mika, there's something I need to tell you," he said.

Mika's heart raced. was gab going to tell her that he had feelings for her? she didn't know how she would respond.

"What is it?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

Gab took a deep breath. "I've been meaning to tell you this for while now, but I'm not sure how you'll take it. I hope it doesn't changed our friendship."

Mika's anxiety grew. "What is it, Gab?"

Gab looked her in the eyes. "I'm gay"

Mika's heart sank. of course, she was happy for gab and proud of him being brave enough to come out to her, but at the same time, she couldn't help feeling twinge of disappointment. She had started to develop feelings for gab, and now she knew that they could never be together.

But then, something unexpected happened. Gab continued speaking.

"I hope this doesn't change things between us, Mika. I value our friendship so much, and I don't want anything to ruin it. but I also need to be honest with you. I've been feeling like I might have feelings for someone, and I don't know how to handle it."

Mika's heart leapt. Could it be? did gab have feelings for her after all?

"who is it?" she asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

Gab hesitated for a moment before answering. "It's someone I've been talking to a lot during quarantine. we have so much in common, and everytime we talk, I feel like I'm falling for him. but I don't know if he feels the same way."

Mika's heart soared. it was her! Gab had feelings for her!

"Gab, I have something to tell you too," Mika said , taking a deep breath. " I think I might have feelings for you too. "

Gab eyes widened in surprised. "You do?"

Mika noodles, feeling a Sense of relief and excitement wash over her.

Gab smiled. " I can't believe it. I never thought I'd find someone during quarantine, let alone someone as amazing as you."

Mika felt her cheeks flush with heat. she had never felt this way about anyone before, and the thought of exploring this new connection with gab filled her with joy.

little did she know, their relationship was about to face it's biggest test yet.
