The drug in his veins was taking time to wear out, so he slept throughout the night and woke up a bit late, nobody had bothered to wake him up.

He thought he should get to know his surroundings, as he roamed the mansion he found himself outside through a back door and found two young men seated basking in the sun, A few metres away from him as he stood by the doorway. He had not met them yet and felt it would be a good gesture to introduce himself, after all, he will be part of the family.

He was not sure and was practically very confused about what time it was, he thought could it still be late, only to realize the sun was up high in the sky, meaning he had slept for a long time, The boys had not seen him yet for they continued with their chat and laughter and he tottered down to them.

He was smiling hoping to join in their chat, but one of them, the slim tall brown in complexion guy wearing very tight clothes that made him look malnourished, not weighing over fifty-kilo grams turned and glimpsed him, he beckoned and raised his lips to direct his partner at his direction. He was as dark as Steve but a little muscular, with a sharp gaze and shorter than his opponent, he also turned and they eyed him curiously.

" Jamal who brought this scarecrow to our home, or Is it a madman," Todd asked curiously as they stood up, and strolled to meet up, half the way.

" I do not know, Todd or is it a thief but how has he found out his way here?" Jamal responded his fingers on his chin.

" Let's ask him," Todd smashed his lips and shook his head.

" Who are you?"

" Am Steve and I come in peace," He said noting that the boys could put up a lot of problems.

" You come with peace from where," Jamal asked and he held him by his shirt colour.

Steve was confused and did not understand what to say when they started roughening him up, the way Amelia was been done at the hotel yesterday by the Johnnies.

" I do not have any money," he said with a pleading voice, showing them his pockets, Todd checked him out and he did not have even an identification card.

" Why are you here," Jamal let out a furious growl.

" Let him explain himself, I think he is not normal," Todd Suggested, a man with no coin, wearing oversized shoes in this era can be abnormal.

" Have you seen nerds, he must be one and maybe he was sent here to take pictures of the house so that the people who sent him can come and harass or steal from us," Todd argued. Checking his eyes and clothes for cameras.

" You and Jenny always overthink, what kind of a conclusion is that, are you crazy who can send such a loser to this house," Jamal asked loosening his grip and pushing him away, Steve stumbled and fell on the floor, gulping for his breath devastated by the way they handled him, this was not his expectations when he moved toward these two fellas, How can you attract negative impact when you have not been given time to explain yourselves.

" Am sorry, Amelia can explain why am here, ask her please, I was looking for her but she was nowhere to be found," Steve explained amidst short breathes

" Why are you looking for her," Jamal rushed to him and clenched his hands into fists, gave him a few blows thinking he was a threat to them, then held him by his trousers and pushed him through the stairs to the main house.

" Amelia!", Todd shouted, he could not stand the sight of blood and did not believe in treating someone bad, causing them pain without hearing them out, but Jamal was the aggressive type, quick to Judge and throw fists and kicks at anyone. He was a scoundrel no wonder, Amelia always uses him to chase the Men he brings home because she was cognizant he will never question her. Todd just pretends to collaborate with him so as not to be treated as an outcast in this house.

" Where did everyone go to,?" Todd shouted walking from one room to the other and opening doors and leaving without opening Jenny's room, in fear that Jamal was not patient he might beat him to a pulp.

" The house is empty, nobody is in the house except us, lets's throw this guy outside, if Amelia knows him they can come in together when she gets back late," Jamal said kicking Steve from behind and he fell on the Divan and stained it with the blood that was pelting down from his nostrils.

" Please beat me up but don't let me fall in Eunice's divan for she has warned me not to go even near them, I cannot stand her wrath," Steve shouted raising his hands high.

" Have you met my mommy?" Todd asked standing between, Jamal and Steve," When?". They had come in last night and nobody bothered to say anything to them and this man was nowhere to be seen. how comes.

" Where were you last night," Jamal with his cold face shouted emitting his domineering aura, He knew Todd was more of a peacemaker and he thought it was because he was not strong, he eats the most but got no weight, he has chosen to be a praying mantis all his life, with very skinny legs and hands. Nobody can even fear him in such a state, small boys will stand and fight him given a chance.

" I was sleeping," Steve took a few deep breaths, composed himself and shouted, but again Jamal kicked him spontaneously and he sensed it was time to run for his soul.

This guy was an animal and he was not ready to listen to him whatsoever. So he ran to the door opened it and slammed it before Jamal caught up with him.

" I told you that guy was a thief, he came to rob us or else why run? that's why he came out by the back door," Jamal stared wide with his fiery eyes.

" What has he stolen, did we find anything on him, why can't you just let him be, we could have tied him up and waited for the others, perhaps they could have understood his existence here," Todd argued humbly.

" Just because you cannot throw a blow, you think your sense can replace discipline, that guy can not explain why he is here meaning he is hiding something, common sense," Jamal said without blinking.

" One day you will meet your size and you will comprehend that not every problem is solved with blows and kicks," Todd said and sat down sighing.

" Until that day comes, please let me protect you from all this danger surrounding us, am your protection," Jamal said roughening up his well-combed hair.

" Don't you dare touch my hair, you rogue, how many times do I have to warn you about it," Todd said pulling Jamal's hands away from his head? and he passed his thin finger in his hair to try to get it into its original status.

" Why can't you guys keep quiet, I need to sleep for Christ's sake, why the upheaval? I can hear you people shouting from my room," Jenny said rubbing her eyes with the back of her palms.

" Do you know any guy by the name Steve," Todd rushed to her asking.

" Yes, he is Amelia's Husband, where is he?" Jenny asked evaluating the room but Steve was not there.

" What did you two do to him, is that blood? My God, did you beat him up, Jamal? Be ready to face Amelia, "Jenny blatantly ogled and plopped onto the couch.

" Jenny, that rugged guy is my sister's husband? why is he here then, and since when did she start indulging with hooligans who got nothing to offer," Todd shook his head not believing a word her young Sister said.

" Can you be serious for once, do you know that guy? and stop joking around, "Jamal inquired shocked.

"Am very serious, get ready to face it with Amelia, I yearn to hear what your pathetic defence words will be," She chuckled with amusement.

" Then I better go search for that guy," Jamal said devastated by his quick actions.

"I told him but his muscles ache him he has to exercise them on innocent souls, if there is a bark he just bites without caring about the consequences, soon we have to engage bodyguards to escort us into this town after letting Amelia create all these conflicts and using us to solve her issues," Todd Whined unpleasantly.

" Let's go find him, stop being a woman always bickering, we will survive Amelia," Jamal reeked of desperation.

" I tried to argue with you and you insinuated that am a chicken, I cannot leave this chair, fight your battles alone and don't mention me later, deal with your elephants, and get a theory on why my Mother's Divan is full of blood," Todd said with amusements in his voice.

" No problem you will need my help, today I pray to survive but make sure not to cross my path, " Jamal said folding his fists.

" You want to beat an innocent soul in his father's house and the way you snore at night," Todd raised his hands and strangled an imaginary person.

" with those skinny hands, or you got others you will use to strangle me," Jamal sneered.

" Stop you two Amelia will be here any time for she must go with Steve to the bank to withdraw the ten thousand for today, she better get him here comfortable without a sign of being beaten," Jenny clicked with a very sensual voice.

Jamal run out of the door and searched the compound but there was no sign of Steve, he got to the gate but it was locked meaning he did not go outside the gate.

" Steve please am sorry I won't touch you again, Come out from your hiding, Amelia is almost home," Jamal shouted begging cursing in Whispers.

" Have you eaten Jenny is preparing some Lunch, we want you to eat and get ready as you wait for your wife," Jamal thought he must be starving, he just woke up from the previous night he must be starving, and he has not eaten anything yet.

When Steve heard about the food, his stomach growled in anticipation, he wished he could find something to eat, just where he was without facing that animal who was ruthless and unbearable, not listening to his brother and beating him up mercilessly like some thief, what did I steal?

" Steve come out, I swear I won't touch you, the more you stay that skinny Todd will finish all the food and I cannot stand missing my lunch," Jamal pleaded with Steve, he must be here somewhere that fool, does he understand the kind of problems that are looming above me at the moment what will I tell Amelia?

" If you touch me again I will be forced to retaliate and am telling you, I have learnt a few Tae Kwon do moves, it's only respect you can't match me," Steve was forced to say, he did not understand what he just said but it came out very well for Jamal shrieked and held his mouth.

" Am afraid of you now am on the ground, don't try those moves on me, lest I die," Jamal laid flat on the grass and shrieked like he was very afraid but that was just for show, he was a cunning guy, Steve came out of the store which had chunks of firewood in it.

" Ooh there you are," Jamal stood up and rushed to him grinning like a nice guy.

" Let's get into the house fast, before the meal is over, he held his hand and led him to the main house.

" Do you have any pains, " Jamal asked when they got inside the house.

" Hello Jenny good morning, what have you been cooking," Steve asked when he was inside the house and seated in his plastic chair.

" Jamal is cooking for us, go and clean that mess in the bathroom," Jenny said raising their brows on Jamal. He did not have an option but to bribe his way out if he did not want what he did to reach Amelia's ears

A few minutes later he came with three plates of fried eggs, boiled broccoli and stirred vegetables accompanied with bread.

" Enjoy my people as you know every dog with its day, and yours is not far, " Jamal smashed his lips after giving each his plate including Steve.

" No problem as long as it's not today, we are cool, " Todd yelled munching on his food, eating even Jenny's bread.

" Steve doesn't mention this to Amelia people are supposed to forgive each other, Jamal mistook you to be a thief, Now they are aware that you are a member of this family," Jenny told him.

" I forgive him, but it's not good to tussle an innocent man, I have hands but I never harmed him even once, he should check his aggressiveness, " Steve said humbly with respect.

The three of them exchanged glances and nodded, their deal was sealed. They smiled and continued with their lunch.

Then Amelia came in, she was excited and was in a hurry, then a smart guy came in wearing a black suit holding a briefcase.......
