For the past first week, she didn't get the chance to talk to Ashton. She only saw him from afar, either when she walked in with his PA or when he went out with Sienna Connor. This weekend didn't count much. She has been working like a workaholic. Thanks to Ariel.

Bryan had called. He wanted to take Leonardo out to the beach and the boy had pleaded with his mother to follow them and she had obliged. She only accepted the fact that Bryan had been standing in for her and her kid but she doesn't want it to exceed that.

They sat down by the beach and watch the nature from afar. Couples and families were there too. It's always busy especially during the weekend.

"How is your first week at Evergreen?" Bryan asked when Leonardo had gone with some kids.

"Not too bad and not too good. It's not too stressful too. I've been managing to be precised." She answered absent mindedly.

Bryan didn't know what topic to bring on anymore. He knew she is not interested in anything he does other than s*x. At first, he didn't see anything bad in it. But now, he seems to be more concerned about it than anything else.

"There is something I wanted to talk to you about Chloe."

"I'm all ears." She replied adjusting her sunglasses.

Bryan heaved and looked at her through the corner of his eyes. He had met her at the same beach four years ago exactly when she came out of the sea. He had loved her instantly. Her posture, her complexion, the way she walks and her beauty had captivated him so much that he couldn't have ever imagined.

He had walked up to her boldly just as the same time she picked her son up from the floor. They talked for some hours before she agreed to give him her number. Then, they had started. She trusted him and so told him everything running up in her life. And he had appreciated everything about her. Sooner did he realised that he wants something else which she is never ready to give in to. But that's what he wants.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately Chloe. I really don't know why I'm bringing this up. But I think it's what I want. I wanted to marry you Chloe. I don't want this to be based only on sex." He said confidently.

"We had an agreement Bryan." She said slowly.

"We never had an agreement Chloe. That's not an agreement. Don't you want me? You know there is nothing in this world that I can't do for you. I've been looking for another job. I wanted to be the man in your life Chloe. The only man in your life. I want you to think of only me Chloe. We can make that happen." He said assuringly.

"We had an agreement." She repeated.

Bryan's face fell. He didn't want to remember whatever agreement they had. He loved her and the only thing he wants right now is for them to get married.

Chloe hide her face under her sunglasses. This is what she has been fearing. Ashton is back and Bryan wants a life term relationship with her. No matter what the circumstances might be, Aston is still Leonard's father and nothing can change that. Ashton had made her suffer enough, this seems to be her own payback time and she didn't want Bryan on the way. At least not him. Although, she knew she didn't have any intention of remarrying eversince the incident with Ashton. But when Bryan came up that day at the beach, she can see the happiness in her son's face. He had played with Bryan and she loved every moment he came up to their house to play with Leonardo. And then, she had agreed to court him only if they will stay like that. And now, Bryan wants something more than what they had agreed on.

"Come Bryan. Come and split the water." Leonardo called rushing to them and grabbing Bryan's hand. He drew him to the sea. She watched them. If only her plan with Ashton worked out, she would have been the most blessed lady on earth. But no, nothing seems to ever work out with her.

Her phone rang and she picked it up.

"Hello. Who is this please?"

"Mike. Can you meet me at the beach?"

"Mike? What......I'm sorry. I don't think I can meet up." She said bluntly.

"Okay. And I'm so sure you will not find your way to Evergreen on Monday because you are fired....."

"Alright. I'm on my way." She answered ending the call angrily.

Bryan watched her from the sea as she stood and made for the canteen. He concentrated back with Leonardo.

She tried searching for Mike at the beach. Then she saw him. Sitting alone in his towel and hat with sunglasses on and his bare chest. She walked briskly to him. She had changed from her swimming dress to her casual dress. She stood in front of him.

"I thought you will never show up." Mike said smiling mischievously.

"Sit. Tell me what you want." He said pointing to the chair beside him. Chloe sat looking at him with disdain.

"Do you prefer cocktail or coconut cream?" He asked.

"I'm fine. Look Mr Mike. I'm with my family here. My husband and my kid. Please, can we meet up somewhere else some other time?" She asked rather pleadingly.

"Husband? But from the information I gathered, you're never married. But you had a six year old boy." Mike said to her surprise.

"I'm planning....on remarrying. I have a fiancee."

"It doesn't count Chloe. Unless you don't want to work at Evergreen." Mike spouted.

"Coconut cream will do. And if I can get a cigarette." She said relentlessly.

Mike smiled happily to himself. That's all he ever wanted. She sat there for almost ten minutes. Sipping the coconut cream and of course, smoking her cigarette.

"I was wondering if we can be meeting up every week end. I will like to show you around the world. I wanted to take you out on our first date."

"I'm not dating you Mike."

"Of course. You might not date me. But it will be cool if I can date you. So, I'm taking you out on a date."

Chloe seems to be boiling inside. What was she to say? She can't protest.

Just then, the unexpected happened. Ashton emerged with Sienna. He was bare chest and Sienna in her panties. She is fair and of course got the attention of all the men on the beach that very moment. Chloe couldn't help too but to stare. Ashton has grown more than she could ever imagined. He is no longer the Ashton she knew some years back. He is a fully grown up man now. His chest is so broad that she feel like running up and clutch herself to him in embrace. She wanted to feel those broad masculine chest once more. She wanted to stop daydreaming. But how? Definitely not in this position. She watched as they approached them and her heart began to beat faster than normal. She wanted them to meet but not in this manner. This is worst of what she had planned.

Mike stood up abruptly and bowed to him. Chloe stood up too fixing her gaze at him.

"You're here Mike. That's how you used to escape work?" He teased and Mike smiled.

Sienna was holding his hand in a romantic manner that Chloe felt like bursting into tears. And to add salt to injury, he didn't even seems to notice her presence.

Animal!

"And who is she?" Ashton asked Mike referring to Chloe.

Mike just smiled. And Ashton laughed.

"Another catch? But do you know why I always love you? You know where to catch the biggest game. You and those ladies....just be careful Mike." Ashton said.

Chloe's face fell. How could he pretend so perfect like that?

When Bryan had waited for so long and nothing seems to be bringing Chloe back, he told Leonardo to wait for him.

He walked round the beach before he finally saw her. He stood from afar and watched. He saw her with Mike and Ashton and Sienna. His face fell. He didn't know what to do but just to watch in silence.
