Robert returned home and went straight to the third floor. It was the first time he had ever stepped into the place where Claire had once lived. On the way up, regret weighed heavily on him. He could not understand how he had overlooked such an important place for so long. Victoria had sent him countless messages and made endless phone calls, but he ignored every single one of them.
