My words felt heavy on my tongue as Orion carried me over to a leather couch and propped me down onto the cushioned surface, the embedded buttons grazed my exposed skin as the cool material sent a shiver down my spine. Beads made from crystal and pearl dug into my skin as I leaned into the armrest, I grazed my fingertips along my upper arm and winced as a thin trail of blood coated my hand. A wound grazed the exposed skin allowing blood to seep into the delicate dress that now adorned ice crystals. My stomach churned and twisted into a knot as I pressed on the wound to halt the bleeding and yet the motion seemed to be in vain as I grew faint from the loss of blood.
