Chapter 6

691 Words
Dear diary, Its one of those days that I wished I was still a child, didn't care about anything but having fun. Ever since the incident with Kai my father decided to fire kai from the company. I knew my father was disappointed, but at who exactly? He really knows how to hide his emotions but I knew that every time he saw kai at work he is reminded of the perfect son in law that never had an interest in his daughter. Today I was walking the usual route to school and I passed a similar "No Trespassing:" Sign. It was my grandparents island, which is now my family's so no one but my family was allowed in the island. I decided to skip school that day, its not like I would be missing any important lesson so it doesn't matter. "Grandma I miss you so much!" my grandma was the only one that understood me, even though I was the youngest one in the family she never treated me differently, I sometimes wished that I had passed away with her so that I don't have to burden anybody else. I sat on the beach for what seemed like hours. The peaceful sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks on shore, bird flying high in the sky, the smell of salty sea water and fresh air. This was paradise. A small island hidden from the world. A small corner of the world that I call my home. I watched the sun set and decided it was time to return home otherwise my mother and father would start to notice that I'm not in school " studying". It was a lonely walk home when the sudden smell of blood and sewage. It wasn't a great combo but I know the smell of blood and that is a lot of it. I followed the smell for some reason, don't know why I decided to become freaking Sherlock Holmes but I knew that wherever the smell was leading to, it would end badly. As I got closer to what seemed to be a small shed in the middle of a field that was close to the lagoon near the outer islands. I saw the blood that I have been smelling along with other dirty things such as baby diapers and some trash that the locals would just throw on the ground because they are too lazy to find a nearest trash bin. Anyway I walked up to the small shed and opened it. For what I saw was terrible. I found a body of what looked like the little girl that had been missing for about a month. poor baby, I kneeled down her lifeless body and held her up towards and me, I cried as I held her in my arms and I apologized for being too late. I ran home and told my father. I had to show the police where I had found the body and let them carry on with the investigation. As my father and I were leaving I saw the little girls parents crying in each others arms. I walked up to them and held their hand and handed them something that I had taken out of their little girls hand. "Here, it was in her hand when I had discovered her. She was a beautiful little girl and I offer my deepest condolences" after handing her mother a bracelet she continued to cry. "Dad, I'm sorry" "For what honey? if anything you helped the police. they were no where near cracking this case and if you hadn't found the little girl then the killer would have an advantage of doing it again," "Dad I feel terrible, the little didn't deserve that type of torture!" "Sweetheart Its was terrible I know but the killer is still out there and right now the police should have in under control." We arrived home and I got ready for bed. I couldn't sleep that night. For the thoughts of todays happenings flooded my mind. I can feel myself drifting off to sleep that's when the War Siren had rung.
