When I came out of the restroom, I was still trembling with fear. I tried to calm myself, but I couldn't.
Fear is all I could feel right now.
I felt like Meredith Cooper was watching my every move, as if she would really carry out her threats if I didn't follow her orders. And that's the last thing I want to happen right now.
I immediately approached Enzo, who was talking to a man I didn't recognize. I wanted to leave because Meredith Cooper was in this building. It made me sick to know that we were breathing the same air as the woman I despised.
"Enzo, we need to go see Alonzo now. I need to see my friend. We need to leave and get out of here." I was grateful that I managed to say this without stuttering.
He nodded and quickly excused himself from the man he was talking to. I quietly
