“Are you sure that you will be okay here?”
I’ve lost count of how many times Enzo has asked me this.
“I’ll be fine here.”
And I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve answered him the same way.
I heard his deep sigh, as if he wasn’t convinced by my answer.
Instead of going back to the Holland mansion, I’ll stay at Nana Ellen’s place in the province for a while. It’s better this way so I can think things through, and I also like it here because their house is near the sea.
The sea is the cheapest therapy. The only therapy I can afford.
I personally asked Enzo for the favor of letting me stay with Nana Ellen for a while, so I could get away from Meredith Cooper’s attention. If I disappear from the place where she is, I know she’ll think I’ve completely given up on the case with Jhoanna…
