I was hunched over near the fountain, pain vibrating through me. My hand was aching even though it was fine, and I was freaking out. Being in this town made me feel closer to Lexi, and Colette told me it was because we were in the right place. We arrived at the fountain, standing exactly inside it. Pumpkin had fallen off of Colette’s shoulder and was currently a hissing and spitting mess, trying to lick herself clean as she hissed at Colette. Colette was climbing out of the fountain as Axel was out of it with me, his hand on my back. I could feel the warm glow from his healing power but he shook his head, pulling away. “It’s not your wounds, Jaiden, I can’t heal this.” He said softly.
I nodded at him, gritting my teeth in pain. “That son of a b***h is hurting Lexi,” I growled
