Susan smiled. “John is stationed at Fort Cobb and will arrive as soon as he can.” Bryan smiled down at her. Before he turned back to Clay, Megan’s arm encircled his and her small hand gripped his forearm. He turned his smile to her questioning glance and winked. “Clay, I’d like to introduce you to my wife, Megan Susanne MacConnell.” The smile froze on his lips when instead of smiling, Clay frowned as he stared at Megan. “Ishki?” he whispered.
