The cold night air greeted them like a blessing.
After what felt like an eternity beneath the earth, Ramona finally pushed aside the thick curtain of vines concealing the tunnel's hidden exit. Moonlight spilled through the opening, illuminating the narrow passage behind her.
"We're out," she whispered.
