Derek came back into her office with the box of ingredients, he placed the box on a wooden stand in the corner of the room and stood to the side waiting for Camille, Lola was sitting back at her desk prepping her small cauldron for her spell.
“Derek, I need the dry sage root please.” she said pointing at the box he was standing next to, he did as she asked and went though the box until he could find the dry root, pulling it out and walking it over to her “thank you,” Lola said as she took the root from his hand and put it into her cauldron, the cauldron began to bubble and smoke started to flow out of the top. The air smelled of sweet sage and chestnut.
Camille strolled into the room and walked over to stand next to Derek, “My queen, I have all the freaks ready for transportation.”
“Good, It's time to finish up and move the house. Give me the toad eye please.” She looked over at Derek and nudged at the box, he went though it again until he found what he was looking for and walked it over to her, she looked at the clock above the door, twelve fifty nine, she waited the last few seconds until the minute hand moved closer to twelve, and right before the clocks in the manor went off to declare it was twelve she dropped in the toad eye.
The manor began to shake, the once clear night sky ways soon covered in dark clouds, thunder and lightning clapped loudly as the smoke from the cauldron lifted out and seemed to have a mind of its own. It filled the room instantly, then pushed its way out of the door, down the halls, into Derek and Camille's rooms and all of the other freaks Lola housed, down the stairs engulfing the living room moving to the dining area, then the kitchen was gone in an instant. The smoke from the cauldron made its way from Lola’s office to the outside of the manor, once the manor was completely covered in smoke, it started to shake profusely. The lightning and thunder that lingered above always seems to sound like it was coming from inside the manor. The wind picked up, coming from outside wiping its way around the room and out into the rest of the manor, it did this several times and it was always Lola’s most hated part of the spell, it always messed with her hair.
The manor continued to shake but the wind slowly died down, then the thunder and lightning stopped with it and the manor stopped shaking and instead felt like it dropped 2 feet out of the air. When the wind left the manor the smoke went with it, that was how Lola knew the spell had worked and they were transported through time. She looked out the window and saw the small graveyard the manor now sat next to, the town was small and everything seems to be on main street. She didn't see the problem of finding the dark soul by night's end. “Derek, Camille I know it's late but we might have some luck in a small town like this, and from what Camille has already found out about this dark soul it's a high chance he could be out now digging up graves as we speak. If we play this right we should have no problem finding him, luring him into the house taking his soul and setting it up for the local authorities to find and put him in custody.”
