CHAPTER 9 : [ ALAYNA'S POV ]

Ever since this morning Ayla hasn't been in a good mood , I was starting to get worried . I was sitting in the car and I looked at Ayla who was driving - I noticed the road we were driving on wasn't going to take us home '' Ayla why are we driving to the beach ? ''  she kept quiet - we reached the beach and she got out, I followed her .

" Alayna I brought you here so we can talk ! ''  '' about what ? ''   '' about Gerald Crescent ! ''  '' I know nothing ! ''  '' don't lie to me Alayna ! '' her voice made me flinch a little bit . '' Okay you know I get in trouble a lot , its not deliberate. It started last year - I found out something about Gerald last year so I followed him everywhere he went until he caught me . It  all started  on that day - he framed me for things I had no hand in , I became his target because I knew what he did .''  '' What did he do ? ''  '' he hurts people - remember the incidents last year where those students were found dead - it was all him , he didn't hurt me but made sure I failed my classes and got in trouble! ''   '' so that lie about Alyssa  hooking up  with Noah by the lockers was because of him ? ''  '' yes because I didn't want you to become his next target!''  ''He didn't harm me , he was actually nice ''  '' I know and that's why I'm so worried and confused! ''  '' how do you know ? ''   '' Matthew informed me about everything and I honestly don't know what to do .''

'' You could've talked to me about this Alayna ! ''  '' I know but you know us Cooper girls are stubborn ''  I laugh at what she says '' come on lets get ice cream and then go home! ''  '' now that's a deal ! ''

We drove to Ice- cream land , the nearest ice cream shop near our house - we ordered chocolate ice- cream and drove home. '' Is that fathers car ?'' '' I believe it is but he said he was coming on Saturday ! ''  ''maybe his early ! ''  I parked the car and Alayna ran out leaving the door open , I closed her door and walked inside the house - everyone seemed so happy , Alyssa and Alayna were hugging our father and mother came back early .  '' Ayla come here ! '' I ran to my father and hugged him '' you're grown so big ! '' I broke away and hugged my mother next '' come on Alyssa , Alayna - lets give them some time alone !''

It was 7 pm - Alyssa was at Noah's house , Alayna was on a date with Parker Austin . I sat outside on my balcony reading a book , that's when I hear this big crash. I run downstairs and notice the glass shattered on the floor , my mother cleans it up while my father paces around the kitchen swearing and cursing .

'' Would you just calm down ! ''   '' no Clara , I can't - I've been gone for a year and Ayla suddenly looks uninterested that I'm back! ''  '' you overreacting  Clint ! ''  '' I'm not , can you explain that frown on her face?!''  '' she's just shocked ! '' '' Oh I'm sure she is - I'm the big bad wolf now ! ''   '' stop screaming Clint! '' ''So you can take her away ?''  '' not at all Clint ! ''
