I sat alone in my room with my back against the headboard, staring at the ceiling while everything that had happened that day kept running through my mind.
It had been one thing after another since I came into Xavier’s world, and I was beginning to wonder if I had made the right decision by agreeing to become his contract girlfriend.
At first, I thought the arrangement would be simple.
I would pretend to be his girlfriend, he would protect me from Tyler, and his parents would stop trying to force him into a relationship with someone else.
