CHAPTER THIRTEEN : A Trial
Xavier’s POV
The words hung heavily in the air.
“We heard that you have chosen a human as your Luna.”
The elder’s sharp eyes remained fixed on me. “Tell us this is not true.”
Silence settled over the hall, no one moved, no one spoke.
Every pair of eyes was on me.
For a moment, I felt as though he could see l
I frowned slightly.
My eyes shifted toward Xavier.
I held my breath.
Without the slightest hesitation, Xavier answered.n“It is true.”
A wave of whispers spread through the hall, several elders exchanged shocked looks.
One of them shook his head in disbelief, another let out a frustrated sigh.
Xavier’s mother slowly closed her eyes.
His father remained silent, but the disappointment on his face was impossible to miss.
