Near the minister’s palace in the First province of Nigrack. Desiree and Axel had reunited with Herther and Ishma, pirates, and the other soldiers who were on their teams. All of them were standing outside the huge black wooden gate. It had metal cones on its edges and the uniting planks. They locked it with a jungle of heavy chains. The palace beyond the gate reached the sky with its spiky towers. Its top was almost invisible in the dark clouds that loomed over it. The noticeable things were the vines of Evertime beans growing on the giant walls surrounding the perimeters of the palace.
“Aren’t those Evertime beans?” Desiree asked Ishma, waiting to listen from Axel, who was talking to the guard of the palace who was talking to him through the small opening made in the enormous door. The
