"My world would never accept you, I knew it, but still, I brought you here. It's my fault, my mistake. I will correct it, Iris," walking amidst the dark shadows, Lake Shadow, the prince of Nigrack, talked to the almost half-dead body of Iris Scintilla, hanging on his shoulder. The black skeleton hands, breaking out through the ground, tore off his flesh, his dark robes and were about to reach for Iris' damaged light blue silk gown. Lake swayed his hand pointing towards the ground, his black bandages tied around his hand opened up and slashed the shadow hands as he trudged out of Nigrack's borders with Iris, who was slowly losing her consciousness. "Iris, I will send you to a calmer world where you will never need to worry about anyone or anything. The one who was chosen to save our world is on his way to destroy everything. Why did you take responsibility for him? When did you ever do something wrong? You weren't chosen for this, so why did you risk your life? I want to ask you so many questions right now, but..." Lake coughed out light, panting, he kept on dragging his feet until he reached the Phorus Falls. "Iris, please forgive me, but this is the only way to keep your light (soul) alive," Lake placed Iris on a huge rock under the river leading into the Phorus Falls. The dark robes came in contact will light trapped in water and started burning. Lake's entire body was ablaze. The flames pacified when he placed his hand underwater and pulled out Iris' wings. The pain that crawled into her nearly dead body forced her to open her eyes, she had a glimpse of Lake unrooting her wings from her back and then became unconscious. No screech was heard, no pain was explained. In the water mixed with her red blood, her body slowly turned into millions of scintilla. The scintilla mixed with the river water and travelled down the waterfall all its way to a world, Nigracks referred to as, the Weak Earth or the Humanverse. Reborn as a human and live a fulfilling life, don't worry about this world, you were never meant to be the saviour of our world. Live a normal life and die to reach salvation, something that we, shadows can never reach. Incarnate and forget. Iris, goodbye, Lake closed his eyes as the light in the river surrounded him burning every dark corner of his body covered with pitch-black bandages. Even his face was covered except his mouth, eyes and nostrils. Leaving behind ashes Lake vanished in thin air.
