Three months later Sophia stares at the urgent pregnancy test skit in her hand, it's positive. Sophia's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the pregnancy test result. She couldn't believe it. She was pregnant. How could this have happened? She thought back to that night with Ryder, the way he had kissed her, the way she had felt. She had been drunk, but she had also been willing. And now, it seemed, she was paying the price. Sophia felt a wave of panic wash over her. She was a celebrity, a role model. She couldn't be pregnant with some stranger's baby. What would her fans think? What would the media say? She thought about Ryder, the way he had looked at her, the way he had spoken to her. She had dismissed him as a drunkard, a pauper, but now she wasn't so sure. Could it be that he was the father of her child? Sophia's mind was racing with questions and doubts. She didn't know what to do or who to turn to. She felt alone and scared, like her whole world was crashing down around her. Just then, her phone rang. It was her manager. "Sophia, we need to talk," she said. "There's a rumor going around that you're pregnant. We need to do some damage control." Sophia hesitated, unsure of what to say. She didn't want to lie, but she wasn't ready to tell the truth either. "I'll call you back," she said finally. As she hung up the phone, Sophia felt a sense of dread wash over her. She knew that she couldn't keep her pregnancy a secret for much longer. And when the truth finally came out, she had no idea what would happen next. How did that even get out, she remembered going for a test as an actress three days back, could that have shown them what was going on? She's doomed, everything she had ever worked for is starting to crumble in front of her eyes. ##### In a far away country side Ryder was sitting in his small apartment, he actually went back to his hometown, far away from the city, staring at a photo of Sophia on his phone. He had been thinking about her nonstop since their night together. He had never felt such a strong connection with anyone before. Ryder's heart skipped a beat as he thought about Sophia's words: "You're just a pathetic little man who can't handle rejection." He had been hurt by her words, but he had also been determined to prove her wrong. And now, three months later, Ryder had a feeling that his life was about to change in a big way. He just didn't know how yet. "Ryder" he heard his grandfather called and he quickly dropped his almost spoiled phone and went in to meet him. He sat beside the old man who had always been noticing him for three months now. Ryder had always sat on one side thinking or wallowing in pain. It's obvious. "I was going through some of your parents' old stuff and I found this, I can't pinpoint but I know you will understand" the old man gave the file to him, Ryder took it from him and glanced at grandfather before going through it. On it, there was a blood stain and a small paper pinned to it. Ryder stood up in shock, it was a file containing a check, the amount and the company there is a huge fortune and it's going to change Ryder's life in a better way. "Pa, we are rich!!" Ryder screamed and hugged the old man, Grandpa smiled. He actually knew what was there, it was given to him by Ryder's parents but he waited until this moment for a reason. "Mom, Dad I promise to make you proud" Ryder muttered with tears rolling down his eyes. His eyes caught his phone that had Sophia's picture displayed on it. "Give me just five years and I will be back, I promise you" Ryder vows and runs out of the house. "Finally" Grandpa said with a sad smile. #### The city Sophia walked into the company in all glory but she could hear whispers, not like it's the first time but this type of whisper is the one that is against her but she turns a blind eye. She entered inside the office embedded with the word CEO, right on one of the seat is her step sister Delilah Grant who have a smirk on her face, right then, Sophia know her life is crumbled. "Dad" Sophia called nervously but the man was not looking friendly at all, Mr. Grant had never looked at her that way before. She had always been the egg in his eyes but there's a look of disappointment in his eyes right now and it is not even funny. "Sophia, have a seat," Mr. Grant said, his voice firm but laced with disappointment. Sophia hesitated for a moment before sitting down in the chair opposite her step-sister, Delilah. She couldn't help but notice the smug look on Delilah's face, and it made her stomach twist with anxiety. "Sophia, we need to talk about the rumors that have been circulating about you," Mr. Grant said, his eyes narrowing slightly. Sophia took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. "I don't know what you're talking about, Dad," she said, trying to sound innocent. But Mr. Grant wasn't buying it. "Don't play dumb, Sophia," he said, his voice rising. "We know all about the pregnancy rumors. And I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed in you." Sophia felt a lump form in her throat as she looked at her father. She had never seen him so angry and disappointed in her before. "I...I can explain, Dad," Sophia stammered. But Mr. Grant cut her off. "I don't want to hear it, Sophia. What I want to hear is that you're going to take responsibility for your actions and do what's best for this company and our family's reputation." Sophia felt a surge of anger at her father's words. How could he be so heartless and unsupportive? But before she could say anything, Delilah spoke up. "I think I can help with that, Dad," she said, a sly smile spreading across her face. Sophia's eyes narrowed as she looked at her step-sister. What was Delilah up to? "What do you propose, Delilah?" Mr. Grant asked, his eyes lighting up with interest. Delilah leaned forward, a confident look on her face. "I think Sophia should marry Williams," she said. Sophia's jaw dropped in shock. "What? No way!" she exclaimed. But Delilah just smiled. "Hear me out, Sophia. Marrying Williams would solve all our problems. It would save the company's reputation, and it would also give you a chance to start fresh and leave your scandalous past behind." Sophia felt like she was going to throw up. Marry Williams? Her step-sister was crazy! "I will never marry that man! Did you remember how he betrayed me? You know what dad, I leave all your family reputation and whatever to you and mind you? I don't mind whatever y'all spread about me, this pregnancy? I'm going to find its father and if I can' t I will raise him/her myself. I hate you dad!" Sophia said in tears and ran out.
